Does your Wii recognize the network? Otherwise, try moving it closer to the router. What kind of security are you using? Make sure you are using WPA (recommended) or WEP (less secure) and try to connect your Wii with your passphrase. If this fails, see if it can connect if you turn your wireless security off. Make sure to turn it back on when you are done investigating!

Cannot change transmission rate of Linksys WRT160N

1.With an online-capable game inserted into your Nintendo DS, turn on your system and access the game's main menu.
2.Access the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection settings.
-These settings are typically found by selecting "Nintendo WFC" from the game's main menu. For detailed directions, consult the manual for the game.
3.At the Setup screen, tap "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings."

emptyconnections4-cwz5mha2srvvin44vycqgk0s-3-5.jpg -If no empty connection files are available, select "Erase Settings" followed by "OK" to create an empty connection file.
5.Tap on "Search for an Access Point."
connection1settings-cwz5mha2srvvin44vycqgk0s-3-9.jpg 6.The Nintendo DS will search for any wireless networks within range. Once it is finished searching, it will display the names of all the wireless networks it finds.
oIf you receive the error message "No Compatible Access Points Within Range," click here.
7.Tap on the name of your wireless router or access point.
oIf there is a gray padlock next to the name of the wireless access point you wish to connect with, this indicates your router is using a security type incompatible with the Nintendo DS.
If prompted, use the keyboard on the bottom screen to enter the password for your wireless router or access point.
enter_wep1-cwz5mha2srvvin44vycqgk0s-3-14.png 8.Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes." The Nintendo DS will run a connection test.
9.The connection test was successful - Your Nintendo DS is now connected online.
Situation Not Resolved:
If the connection test was not successful, you will receive an error code:
·Error Code 51300: This means the security code or network name entered into the Nintendo DS is not the same one the router is set to. To reach your connection settings, click "back" on the error code screen. Make sure to pay extra attention to the security key you find in your router's settings and enter it exactly as it appears (the key is case sensitive).

Nintendo WFC is only compatible with the WEP security setting, even when playing with a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL. WPA and other security settings are not compatible.
solution: You will need to either change your security settings on your router to "WEP" (recommended), or disable all security.

My nintendo wfc settings won't work

Then you may have the settings input wrong. Try having the console set up the connection automatically. If that does not work, you may need to put in the SSID (Your network's name) and the passoword (same as you network's password) manually.

My ds gave me an error code 51099

This just means there is a problem with the wifi's settings or what you are trying to connect to is broadcasting something incompatible. I'm going to copy the link to Nintendo's help section. (I ain't gonna type that much ;-]) Basically all you neeed to do is try creating a new connection.

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/results.jsp?error_code=51099&system=DS&locale=en_US

This should get you going.
