Question about Pioneer DEQ-7600 15-Band Car Equalizer

3 Answers

No sound. I hooked up my DEQ-7600 correctly. All lights work, and controls look to be operating correctly, but no sound output. Tried various input signals - walkman, mp3, old stereo receiver, etc, but no output. Tried running it from a radio shack 12-volt power supply also, but still no audio output at all. Unit looks to be in good condition. Took the cover off, no fuses inside. Is it feasible/worthwhile to have repaired? Any recommendations for repair shops?

If you have not solved the issue yet here is what I ran into. I bought one off craigslist. I found that the conventional Line Level outputs are very low compared to that from a reciever unit. If you have the blue and yellow wires tied together and the unit is connect to PRE AMP outputs then it should work. It will not work with the head phone level from any mp3 player.

As you have indicated there is no sound at all in the out-puts available. What this could probably mean the out put ic is dead.Another thing to remember is to connect the red positive wire to the standby wire which is mostly yellow in color.

How do you hook up a Tascam 122 cassette deck to a receiver i tried to hook it up to my Nad 7155 receiver and no sound what am i doing wrong please help

cassette decks have line OUTPUTS. If it records there may be line inputs. Connect the OUTPUTS to the appropriate INPUTs on ur amp. Select the correct input on the amp. If it doesn't work u will need to verify the amp inputs work and that the tape outputs r active.
If so chg the cables.

I have a Pioneer DEQ-7600 and every so often I have to tap my dash board in order for the display lights to come on the front of the unit, like it goes in and out every so often, thanks Nick

Nick i believe that you have a simple ground loop problem. To fix that you'll need to run a ground wire from your EQ to the body of the car. (the shorter the wire, the better the ground)

Find the ground wire (black wire) coming out of your EQ. Splice a wire into that wire, and then connect that wire to the black wire coming out of your Head Unit, and that should solve your problem.

I can't seem to hook up my Insignia T.V. and my dvd player up

The way to hook up the dvd player to the television to to put a cable into the output signal section of the dvd player( Ther may be many different ways to hook-up the signal s-video and component video, regular video. You must pick one of these output signal sources to put into the input section of your television by matching them up i.e s-video out to s-video input compnent video output to component video input, regular video out to regular video input. For each of these video hook-ups there will also be a set of two sound cables. Look on the back of your television for the signal input section and hook up the video cables and the sound cables to your selected input. You should do this with both units turned off in order not to damage the circuits by shorting them on cable insertions ofr causing heavy feedback in the circuits. One this connection is complete. Trun on the television first and select the TV's signal source . By pressing the input button and using the up and down arrows to find the correct selection. By matching up all three sources you now should have the correct signal path. Turn your DVD and test the controls. try using the volume control and use you dvd to to play,ff, or stop the dvd.If all this works then you have done the set up correctly and can now enjoy your dvd's on the television Hope this helps you with your problem..

Help fixing a sound problem with our receiver

You should be able to find all the instructions for these connections in your products owners manuals. The procedure should be straight forward. all the connections to the receiver should be input and output connections. The Receiver is basically just a switch box and amplifier with extras. You must make sure you know which input and output you are using for each of the components. You must have all the remote controls set-up to work with each other. The receiver is the master switch. From it you will control all input sources to the various output sources. Here is a possible set-up . Television output sound and video to the first input/ output section of the receiver. from here you can use the first audio/video output to your dvd/vcr input. This will allow you to record the television programs video and audio to your recording media. The audio/video output of the dvd/vcr will be connected to the second input /output of the receiver. With the second input you can view all the dvd/vcr materials on the television while listening to the sound through your receiver. The master output of the receiver's audio/video output is connected to the television input circuit. This will allow viewing and sound from all the units connected to the receiver. The receiver sound system will receive sound from all the input units as long as the connection are right and the input/out selections from the remotes controls are correct. That is the reason the owners manuals are so important for this purpose. They give these instructions and diagrams to show you the correct procedures for setting them up.They also give you information about customer support either with website help or a call in line for technical assistance.I hope this helps you with your problem.
