To configure your internet options, go to the DS menu (the first screen you seen after turning of the DS). Select the System Settins option (the wrench icon), then scroll across 'till you find the Internet
choice. Select that and then Connection Settins. Choose Advanced Set Up then pick a connection.
If all connections display Set Up Complete , pick one and select the Connection Test. If there is an previously used Wifi hub or router within range, one of these connections should connect. If not, it will give you an error code that will help identify the problem.
If all the connections say None, then choose one and select Search For An Access Point. If all the connections are taken but none work, select one then choose Clear Settings. Then choose the connection that now says None and search for an access point. The DS will show a list of available access points; one should be your's. Select in and enter the security key and that should sort it. If your router or wifi hub isn't on the list, move closer to it or check it's working properly

First, there would be a wifi configuration on the begineing of the game menu. Press the big orange button and press the first connection. Then search for the wifi connection. Lastly get the connection connected and go back to the screen and go the wifi place on the pokemon black. it should work now!! hope it helped!!! if you have more questions? leave me a comment!

Is your Wi-Fi network password protected?
There are different types of encryption for Wi-Fi passwords. The DSi can connect to WEP or WPA networks, but the earlier DS models only support WEP. Games that came out before the DSi can't connect to WPA encrypted networks.
To get around this, you could try changing your wireless password type to WEP type encryption, which is more vulnerable, but compatible with older DS games.
Another thing you could try is using a USB wi-fi adapter that will convert your wireless signal to a format that older DS games can use. If you're worried about security, this would probably be the better thing to do, since the ones designed for use with game consoles require you to authorize each console connecting to your network. Although, the first option would be the easiest, since this option would require researching different adapters, and would cost you money. The official Nintendo adapter seems to be out of print, but you could probably find one used for a pretty good price. Gamestop lists it as 14.99, but you'd have to see if they had it at your local store.
