Had my playstation 3 hooked up to my old television in the living room, i recently got a new tv for my room so i unhooked it and took it upstairs and plugged it in and it isnt working. no audio or video. and before anyone suggests to change the channel, i hooked up my wii on the same channel with the same plug ins and had audio and video, but nothing from the playstation. anyone have any idea why it has suddenly stopped working? i would appreciate an answer asap, the network just came back online after being off for about a month and i still can not use it lol

If it works with your Wii and not with you PS3, chances are your audio / video cables were damaged in the move. Try hooking up your PS3 to another TV with the same cables. If you have audio and video on a different TV with the same cables, it may be a problem with your HD settings. If the cables for the Wii aren't HD component cables and the PS3 cables are (or vice versa) this could be causing the problem, as the HD component cables have a different plug in than the normal video / audio settings. If this is the case, search around your TV to find the alternate connections and try those (these will probably require a different channel). If none of this works, I suggest you contact Sony about the problem and perhaps even send in your Playstation for repair. If you need anything else, let me know!

Try resetting the video output settings. They may not be appropriate for your new tv.
Press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps while it is off.

If you have got a good aerial, the high gain type- see image, it should run all the TV's you say. Make certain you have decent cable coming off the aerial (the stuff they use for satalite dishes). Then buy some high quality splitters, to feed the TV's. Don't split the cable outdoors!

Unhooked the TV,took it to another room, hooked it up, just fuzz

Make sure the cable you now have hooked up to TV is actually hooked up to the dish. If you're sure it is then take the TV back to original location and hook it back up. If it works in that location you have a bad cable. If it still doesn't work it's the TV. The only other thing I can suggest is that some TV's must autotune before a picture can be shown. If you're sure you have a ggod signal go to the TV menu and do an auto tune or auto search. The TV will then go thru all the different possibilities looking for signals. Once it has completed the search it will then give you a picture. You can then go and add/delete channels and set it up however you want.

Adding tv to a dish network dvr

Your upstairs tv is connected via a coaxial cable and you can do a few things to get programming to the third room.

The first is to locate the wire that enters the upsairs room that currently has tv and insert a splitter by cutting the line to that room and running the out ports to the rooms and the in port to the other end of the wire that you cut. This will give you the same picture in both rooms.
If you have a system that does not use diplexers to backfeed the second TV you can backfeed the 3-4 cable going to the TV1 by cutting the line and adding a splitter with the inport running to the 3-4 port on the receiver and one of the out ports going to your tv1 and the other outport going into the UHF side of a diplexer. You will need to cut the Satellite feed into the back of the receiver on the back side of the seperator and connect the seperator to the SAT port of the diplexer. The IN/OUT port of the diplexer will connect to the end of the sat feed cable that goes to the wall plate. This will allow you to go into the attic of outside of the house and find the sat cable that feeds the TV one and break it there and put the IN/OUT port of that diplexer facing the TV1 room and the SAT port connecting to the other end of the cable you broke. The remaining UHF port will be the feed for the new room that you wish to connect. This set up will allow for viewing the same program as that at the TV1 location however you will need to change the channels at the TV1 location or buy an IR to UHF converter to allow you to be able to work the system independently from the receiver. Hope this answered your question. IF you need further assistance please contact me and thanks for using Fix Ya.
