How do i just have one connection point, and make it connect to the internet without having to plug an ethernet cord into the laptop. With out the cord it says local only. Okay, since you moved and unplugged the router you reset the router to factory defaults. You need to boot your wireless laptop wired to the router so the DHCP can reestablish an IP address.
That should do it.
Good luck,

Its not connecting proprely to the internet

You forgot to mentioned the kind of what brand of wireless router you have. first you have to activate or properly setup the wireless router. the factory default ip address is 192.168.1.1 Go to web browser even it will say fail to connect to server. type in 192.168.1.1 to the address bar. the default user id admin and the password is password. wireless basic setup is the first one, next is the wireless setting. Since I have no clue what kind or brand you have there is a setting for b,g,n most likely your laptop is a g signal. if the router is set for n signal your laptop will not connect. make sure to set to b,g,n setting and this will work. your laptop will connect to the internet. oh I forgot to mention to set for wep key or passphrase. then input the to your laptop to connect. I hfope this will help you solve the problem.

Airport connection says Connection Timed Out.

I don't think this is a problem with your macbook, it is probably a problem with the wireless router that is broadcasting the connection. Try restarting the router and connecting then.

Laptops not connecting to the internet when the hp c4599 is on

Perhaps the printer is conflicting with the laptop by taking its "address" on the network...Do you know how to give your printer a diifferent IP address? Or your laptop? Its a bit complicated to explain but if you can make sure the laptops and the printer are all set to use "DHCP" then they should all each get an adress on your home network and work together.

In Windows Vista, click Start, Control Panel, Network & Internet, View Network Status and Tasks. Then view the status of your Wireless Network Connection and click details, if it says "DHCP Enabled" in there then your laptops are not the problem and should be sharing addresses.

You should be able to see in the printers control panel or by printing a self test page how its setup on the network, maybe it needs to be reconfigured while the laptops are turned on as well.

No wireless detect connection

Hi
Note all changes to be made from wired computer only . Any computer that is phisically connected to the router.
Open the router setup page by typing in your default gateway address( router address) on the web browser
You can get it by
Start -> run -> cmd -> ipconfig
You will see the router setup page opening up
Check what it says . IF on the top it says Internet Status :: Connected then
1. Under wireless you'll see channell and ssid
2. Change channell to 6 or 11 .That gives you the best wireless signal strength . This is the most probable cause .
If you want you can also change the
3. Check your security key
4. And apply changes
5. Now on your wireless laptop go to Control panel ->Network connections -> wireless network connections -> right click -> deleate preffered networks -> refresh netweork list
6. You will find your network there select and connect.

Works great

If Ip status : says not connected
1. restore factory default
2. reconfigure router
3. reconnect

This shoud help and please let me know .

Laptop wont connect to wireless belkin router

If you connect the laptop wired, does it work correctly?
If your Wireless router has password protection, try resetting it to factory defaults, and connect it that way.  If you can connect with the factory defaults (with no security), it's likely an issue with the security on your router.
I'd suggest starting again. Reset to factory defaults, re-secure the network and try a different SSID name this time, and try again.
