I have been using my Easy Share C182 for a year now to upload my photos and videos directly to my computer from my camera using the USB that came with the camera. Now suddenly, it won't load. The computer says it doesn't recognize a supported device.

Time to start using a separate card reader. You'll like it better anyway. I have been using my - typrice_189.jpg

TRANSFERRING PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

I have a Kodak Easy Share M853 which I love. However, when I connect it to my computer, it takes the pictures that I have taken directly to my Kodak Easy Share account on line. This is really handy;...

There should be an option in the EasyShare online album to save them to the PC - you may have to click on the picture first though. If not, you can right-click on the picture and choose the Save option.

How do you download the software and upload your pics and how do you make videos and upload them to????????????????

Click here to Download and install Picasa from Google. Its free and easy to use. Once installation is complete you can plug in your camera to the computer using a USB cable (with picasa running on screen)and the import screen will guide you through the rest of it. Uploading to what ever is easy with Picasa, but you did not specify, so I would need to know where you want to send it. Picasa has the ability to create online photo albums that you can share with others via email or easy links to upload to popular sites such as flickr, photobucket or others.

I plug up my camera to the computer and it wont upload/share any of the pictures to my computer what's wroung

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Uploading problem

There are a few different ways to upload them. I have found that when I connect the camera to the computer, sometimes I get scrambled photos. When I use a card reader, connected directly into the USB port, I get all good pictures. If I connect the camera OR the card reader to a USB hub, at least half of my pictures get scrambled. I take 3-4 thousand photos in a years time. I was happy to end the problem.
