Question about Norelco Quadra 7825 XL Electric Shaver

1 Answer

The shaver itself works fine, but the on/off button quit working (feels like there's no longer a button in there, like it's empty under the rubber button cover). Is this a repair I can do myself?

R9370 won't work

Any corrosion on the rechargeable batteries usually means that they've gone bad.
For an relatively easy to fix test, disconnect one end of one of the cells wherever it's easiest to solder back together. Then plug in the shaver and see if it works. The LCD may not work, but the shaver itself might.
Looking it up further, I see that it uses a 12VDC cord/charger. So if you try my suggestion, the LCD and shaver should work when plugged in, if the batteries are the problem.

Rear window defroger does not work, lite on switch does not work so i feel it's a relay or fuse under the hood. I checked the fuse boxs but came up empty.

I had the same problem, from lifting the rear hatch cause the wires to the defroger break. some quick wire splices and it was back working.

2004 Malibu Maxx keeps blowing horn fuse. Works when I replace fuse for about 6 times. Horn itself feels touchy as in only works when pressed certain way. Shift paddle on side of shifter also does not...

Try disconnecting the horn itself from the circiut, hold the horn button on for a while,if the fuse no longer blows,it's a safe bet the horn itself was the culprit,if it still burns the fuse, the wiring or clockspring are shorting out

How to take razer apart to replace batteries.

My thanks to everyone who viewed my question. I feel so embarrassed now since I lo0cated the answer accidentally on my own. Here is the answer: When I opened the "trimmer" on the razor itself, lo and behold the answer was already there. It gave the exact answers I had been seeking. It said "For the HGX-1, it requires a PA-650 which delivers 12vdc @ 650mA. I found a compatible charging power transformer which delivers 12vdc @ 500mA and it worked fine in recharging my shaver. So, thanks to each of you for trying to locate the answer for me.

I accidently droped the mp3 player in water and its not comming on the charging bar keeps on going from full to empty rapidly and the buttons are not working.

electronics that have been dropped in water should be taken apart immediately, allowed to try with a fan on them for 2 or so days, reassembled and then attempt to charge. If this doesn't work- sorry, but it's toast.

Norelco shaver sudden power loss

I hope you are observing the following:- Recharging only when the batteries are almost completely empty. Continuously recharging or continuously using as a corded razor will reduce life of batteries Charge only when the indicator in charge meter starts blinking. It appears that your batteries are gone. Hope you have replaced the batteries with the new ones. Use a good brand

Charging does not work and is immediately empty

I believe that you are stating that your model 4775 Braun shaver no longer holds a charge. To repair this you will need to replace the batteries. To replace the batteries, you will need to open the shaver up. First, remove the two round plastic screw covers on the bottom of the shaver then remove the screws that are underneath. The outer casing will then slide off the bottom of the shaver. You will then be able to access the batteries.
You will find batteries for model 4775 at See link below

Panasonic 8077 shaver top fastener broken

This may sound nutty. Please don't laugh. It works: attach a rubber band from the top "broken" corner of the shaver to the underside. Yup. Lousy design. Are you done laughing yet?
