Averatec 3200 Recovery Failed

This is the kernel - the core file of windows: without it nothing works, including the restore.
All you can do is to perform a full reinstall using the recovery disks that came with the laptop when you bought it.

The SMART is the monitoring system that is embedded in all hard disks - if it reports a failure it means that the hard disk has died. You need to replace the disk and only after that you can reinstall.

Your problem here is more then likely a hard drive issues due to bad sectors. Back up information and replace hard drive.

Enter bios settings and set boot options.

to get your system files back follow these steps.

1. get an OS disk- XP or vista whichever your OS is.
2. put it in the CD drive.
3. and select option for repair.
4. it will get all your lost files back

No unfortunately. You will have to purchase an XP retail CD or call Averatec for a replacement disk. It is illegal to post Windows install disks for free download. Sorry.
Maybe there is someone you know that has the same version on XP you do and you could reinstall from their disks and use your license # for activation. Unfortunately the drivers for your machine will not be on their CD and you will have to go to the Averatec support site to get the appropriate drivers for your model computer.

googled the manufactor for the recovery disc, the r sending me one for free..

not good..do you have an install disk around or a recovery disk?
