Question about Cma Dishmachines L-1X Dishwasher

Open Question

Hi - we have a CMA L 1X dishwasher, it has shorted out and the repairman said that the machine would have to go in to have the wiring redone. It shorted due to a faulty connector. The repairman said that the manufacturer is not accepting anymore units to rewire due to they have too many of them to do. Do you know if this is a prevailing issue?

How do i get the get the impeller off a cma pump commercial dishwash pump to put the seals in

I think its press fit, so put some flat steel behind both sides and try pulling. Be ready to replace the plastic bits cause the detergent is caustic.
Easier to quote your customer on new pump/motor assy.

CMA AH -when I turn on the dishwasher it has a low hum and then it tips the circuit breaker

Check to see if it is plugged into a GFI. If it is then either have an electrician hardwire it in or run extension cord to an outlet that is not. If that is not the issue then you most likely have problem with the motor.

The inside bottom of our CMA dishmachine is pitting and has a hole through it. It is supposed to be stainless steel. The company said it was because we had too much iron in our water? We had the water...

This is usually caused by a leak in the plastic chemical line on the sanitizer. Over time and it doesn't have to be long time for it to happen, the chlorine sanitizer drips on the stainless causing it to pit. Contact your chemical supplier to check this out; The sanitizer is corrosive to stainless when not mixed with water in the machine

Shorting out and Leaking

Just looking at that model on the Electrolux site and the wash pump would cost $167.73,and the manifold pipe would be about $25.I dont know what they mean by feeder pipe.but you have the hose to the machine cost $34.60 or the hose down by the pump which would cost $20.50.I would be inclined to get a second opinion or source the parts yourself. The fault on these machines normally was that the rigid plastic water feed manifold pipe would tend to split on the thread just inside the corner of the unit and water would run down onto the heater and the pump.Normally after replacing the pipe and drying out the electrics the machine would be ok again.

Hope this helps.

I have an under the bar counter CMA glass washer that is leaking.

Normally if you look down the front at floor level you will find 2 screws or even at the front side edges, take these out make sure the power is off. Then the panel under the door should lift up and out but there will be some wires still connected so be careful. You should then if you get a torch be able to see under the machine to check any leaks.

Hope this was a help.

I set the cycle and push start and the breaker kicks off

It could actually be the breaker itself. If not, there is a "short" in the machine. The likely place for the short is the water inlet solenoid valve which is replaceable. If not there, then you need to call the repairman.
