Celphones are electronic devices with sensitive chips that if they come in contact with water or any liquid they would be damaged.
chances are some of the sensitive circuitry of your celphone is already broken. dont expect that you'd have the same normal functioning gadget again. if in your country you have a motorola service center, you can go there and ask for their assistance. do you still have warranty for that? if not, then you'd better be buying another one.

Idropped my home phone handset in the toilet 5 days ago, there is still water in the window and it is not working

Get a zip-lock freezer bag and put a cup or two of white rice in it. Put the phone in the bag, seal the bag and let it sit for a few days. Rice will absorb the moisture.

My phone was submerged in water for about 90 seconds. Will it still work and how long should I wait before trying it?

You should probably wait for a few days to ensure it's completely dry on the inside. I have heard other folks suggest that putting the phone in a bowl of white rice for a few days is a great way to dry it out. The rice will absorb the moisture.

Did the case cover the entire phone or just the sides and back like most?

I dropped my samung pixon in the toilet but i think all the water is out but it doesnt turn on

DO NOT try to turn it on and DO NOT use a hari dryer (it'll push moisture into unreachable places) Put your phone in a bag of rice and leave it there for a day or 2 (rice absorbs moisture) Try turning it on again... If this doesnt work , nothing will !
Please leave me a rating if I've helped you :)

Dropped it in water

Take out the battery, then get a bag of rice out the phone in a bowl cover it evenly with rice and use patents you will need to let this sit for 3 to 4 days now its not a 100 percent garentted method but it works for most phones good luck and leave positive feedback for your free answer today.

After a small amount of water ingress, my exposure button won't work. It focuses as if attempting to take a shot but doesn't. Any ideas?

Hi Yogi,

Put the camera in a paper bag filled with dry uncooked rice. Leave it there for a few days. The rice will leech out the moisture.

After 2-3 days, try it. If there is no change, change the rice and repeat.

I didn't believe it either at first. Then I saw it with my own eyes work on a cell phone that was dropped in a toilet. Kinda weird, but the theory is sound. Works by osmosis and evaporation.

Best regards
