How to i hook up my jvc radio to a 1994 ford explorer

You will need a wiring harness and a faceplate kit. You can order the wiring harness specific to your vehicle. A great place to find this is www.crutchfield.com You can hook the wiring harness to the wires of the radio while the radio is outside the vehicle (better than being cramped up in your car). Then you plug it into the stock wiring harness of the vehicle. No guessing at the wiring. If you need the install instructions, go to www.sound-repair.com they have a lot of installation information and may have your vehicle available. It will cost a little to get the information but is well worth it. Especially if you sell your vehicle and want to remove your radio. Hope this helps.

I'm trying to connect a sony cdx gt-400 harnes to a 1995 plymouth neon stock harnes but the sony wires aren't labeled

OK, you need to order the wiring harness for this. This will be a harness that plugs into your stock harness. The package that the harness comes in will have the wiring diagram on it. All radio wires are standardized, so it will be easy to hook the sony wires to the wiring harness because they will match. It will only cost a few bucks and will save you from frying your entire electrical system. Hope this helps.

I have a 1998 ford explorer 4 door. bought it with stock radio removed and would like to replace it with stock radio. i have no part no# but there are 2 connectors one is long and thin(grey) with 6 wires...

The one with six wires is probably the power of the last radio and the one with 9 is the one for the speakers.
I would really recommend an after market radio as in this day and age it will probably be cheaper and more efficient. It will play mp3, bluetooth, you can hook up your iphone etc.

You will only require to get a wiring harness for the make and model of your car and you have a hot new sony, kenwood, jvc etc. A 13 year old radio may not work for you.

I am putting a new sony cd player in a 94 ford explorer an need to know what wires hook to eachother

I suggest you look at this sight:
www.crutchfield.com

With installation of aftermarket radios, this website is of great help. It will also be important to know what type of system you have in the Explorer. Some radio installations are stock and wire direct to speakers. Others have the Premium Sound System that has an onboard amplifier. It will save a lot of headaches selecting the proper harness adapter to match up the wires rather than try to do it yourself.

I want to change my original cd player for a pioneer

This is because you need to purchase the aftermarket-oem harness plug. This harness plugs into your original equipment radio harness and allows you to plug any aftermarket radio into the stock deck wires. After you plug the harness in you can then connect the radio wires together.Your local autoparts store or circuit city or best buy or audio express will have these radio conversion plugs.I hope I could help

Ford explorer wirring for radio

You should never cut the stock harness. They make adapters for $10 so you don't have too. If you haven't cut the harness, don't cut it.

If you already cut it... SHAME ON YOU. But here are some color codes.
http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/Wire_codes/Ford_Wire_Colors/ford_wire_colors.htm

I highly recommend reattaching the stock harness, soldering the wires together, and getting an adapter.

Stock Speakers wont work with new stereo plzzzz HELP

U have a Factory audio auxiliary amp in the truck, the radio is just a head unit with a preamp feeding a main amp, that is behind the right rear 1/4 panel trim panel in the cargo area, if your new sound unit has preamp outputs use them, other wise u must wire around the Ford factory amplifier.
