On most thermostats there is a reset button that you have to use a pen to reset sometimes. If this keeps happening just replace thermostat with honeywell or white rodgers digital stat. Please rate me if this is helpful to you thanks.

Why is screen showing EE and will not respond to touch?

The replacement batteries could be defective or installed incorrectly. Also, the thermostat could have been reinstalled incorrectly after battery replacement.

I changed batteries but still no display n thermostat don't light up. pro1iag model T701. What to do?

Verify that you in fact replaced the batteries with GOOD batteries. If you can separate the thermostat from the sub-base, hold it in your hand and replace the batteries again. If the display does not come up at that point, it is time to change the thermostat.

The screen said to replace the batteries. When I put new ones in, the screen did not come back on.

One or both of the batteries may be facing the wrong direction. Remove the batteries and check the battery holder for installing in the proper direction. Also, check the batteries you installed to make sure they are at full power.

Thermostat says lowbat.....where is the battery and what kind of battery do i need to replace? will my furnace still come on?

If you replace the battery in time, the furnace should still work. You didn't mention what type thermostat you have, but the battery is located inside the thermostat housing. Most can be accessed my opening the flip down cover of the front of the thermostat (this where you generally program it). Inside you will either see instructions for replacing the battery or you will see another small compartment door with a battery icon on it or it says "Battery". If none of that appears as stated, the batter will be behind the thermostat housing. It's generally 1 AA Battery.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

Honeywell DT200 thermostat is not responding to any buttons pressed. Display is showing small flame icon on left of screen and what looks like a battery in top right hand corner. Any suggestions?

The thermostat is calling for heat, and the battery icon means that the batteries are low and should be replaced. If the thermostat is wired to run on battery power alone, replacing the batteries usually corrects this problem. Hope this helps! Jim

I was trying to adjust my thermostat and it wasn't working right so I took the batteries out and now nothing will come up on the display screen, what do I do?

If your batteries are good and you put them back the way it is suppose to, Check the battery terminals in the termostat there is a chance that they are not making contact with the batteries. If that is the case bend the terminals with a small tip screwdriver.
