Hi

First of all please make sure that all the cables from/to the printer are connected properly. Now please use different power socket to make sure that the printer is getting power. If so then we can reset the printer. To reset the printer unplug it from/to the power socket and mains and let it sit without power for more then 10 minutes and then replace all the cables and print a test page. If still the issue is not resolved then you'll need to replace the printer cable. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Your power cable/supply may have gone bad, or gotten damaged. I would test the output of the power cable to see if it matches with the output specified on the unit. If it is found to be bad, replace the power cable/supply.

If the terminal where you plug the power cable into the printer is loose, this may be the reason why it won't turn on. If you suspect any internal damage to the unit, I would contact Canon to purchase replacement parts. Since the printer is not turning on, I would suspect the problem lies within the power cable.

Hello,

This could be due to various reasons.

1. Make sure that printer is connected directly to a wall outlet and not to any surge protector.

2.We can perform a cold reset or restore the printer to factory defaults. If the printer is connected to a network then make sure that we make a note of the network settings since the settings will not be the same after performing the reset.

My printer canon ix 4000 dead .not on power

Check all cables and power supply connection.
If the power supply is live, check the fuse to the electrical plug for your printer.
Take care.

My canon Pixma MP780 suddenly would not turn on, after 3 years. Checked the cord, changed wall plugs, the lights flashed but then went dead. Help, pleeze

(1) Check the power cord
connection.
(2) Check the connection between
the SPCNT board (JPSU1) and
power supply unit.
(3) Replace the power supply unit.
That's what the service manual says for your problem!

Pixma MP780 Can't turn on

To move the print cartridge without power to the printer: Grab it with your hand and slide to the middle. It may offer slight resistance and while not an expert, I doubt damage will be caused.

Normal 0 Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
