SOURCE: Can not import film to PC.
I have a partial solution for those whose files come up as audio. connect your camera via USB. Windows Movie Player should recognize the camera when you select capture device. When you have your camera selected hit next. Put the file in My Video and title it. When you are ready too capture video Hit play on you camera while in the review screen. The Movie Maker will then capture your video as it plays in the camera.

SOURCE: Unable to download the videos
here are the driver software for this model ..You should download and install the driver and the software so to make the storage on your camera visible (download the large one ..the patch it may contain all drivers for all os) ..
Normally ..after the driver is installed you should see the hdd of the camera as a drive in my computer folder..or ..use the import wizard ..or the software provided on the disk ..but you need to have teh driver to assure communication ..
If the usb cable seam not to work (for some models the usb only allow to download pictures and use as web cam ..) you should try the other connections ..fire-wire would be good if it has..but I believe it has a hdmi connection ..but I think the usb will work if you follow the correct path ..Install driver ..install the cyber-link dvd suite ..and it should be seen as a removable disk in the my computer area..
I also attach the manual if you do not have it ..cause in there it is explained he procedure..at the page 90 ..
This is what I mean by it ..:
VIEWING THE CONTENTS OF STORAGE MEDIA
1. Slide the POWER switch downward to turn the HD camcorder on.
• Set the "USB Connect" to "Mass Storage." ?page 70
(It is set to "Mass Storage" by default when you purchase the HD
• Set the appropriate storage media. (SC-HMX10A/HMX10C only) ?page 26
(If you want to record on a memory card, insert the memory card.)
2. Connect the HD camcorder to the PC with a USB cable. ?page 89
• The "Removable Disk" window appears on the PC's screen after a moment.
• Two removable disks appear when connecting a USB. (SC-HMX10A/
The built-in memory is the first recognized drive of two removable discs
newly registered in the 'My Computer'. For example, when (F:) drive and
(G:) drive are recognized in the PC, (F:) drive and (G:) drive are the built-in
memory and memory card, respectively.
You can select the desired memory type.
• Select "Open folders to view files using Windows Explorer" and click "OK."
3. The folders in the storage media appear.
• Different file types are stored in different folders.
