    Thanks,
I guess not really helpfull, other then the knowledge that I'm not the only one with this particular problem? I've just ordered a new complete coldwater- valve intake last week, wich I will install myself. The service man was going to charge me $180.00 for just coming out this way, plus whatever hours & parts the repair would take! Any suggestions on how to take it apart would be helpfull?
    Cheers,
    JK

What is LF message

LF means a long fill was detected. This means that the washer sensor did not sense enough water coming into the unit in the first 8 minutes after starting the wash cycle.

There are several things that you can check. First, make sure that the incoming water pressure is good. You can try replacing the intake hoses and checking the filters on both sides (inside the washer and at the shut-off valves). (When you take the hoses off the shut-off valves, put a bucket under the outlets and check the flow rate.) Some intake hoses will seal themselves if they detect a leak. This will significantly reduce the water flow. If the filters are clogged, you get a similar restricted flow.

Next, check that the end of the drain hose is not positioned below the fill level of the washer. This will cause the water to be suctioned out of the tub as fast as it fills.

If the water is flowing well, the intake valves or the water pressure sensor (which detects the change in the weight of the tub) could be bad or have a wiring harness problem.

I hope this helps.

My washing machine is a Roper top load washer. The problem I am having is that the pump from the cold water drain from under the washing machine. Do I need another pump? The hot water will work. I use the...

This model is a direct drive with only one pump, the drain pump. If the drain pump leaks, which is a common problem on these models, it will leak no matter what temperature wash is selected! If you a have a leak on cold, it will probably also leak on warm wash. Your problem is your solenoid operated fill valve on the cold side. Only one fill hose comes off of this combination fill valve to your fill plenum at the top back of your tub. So if it leaks on the cold, but not hot, check for a crack in the plastic housing of the valve on the cold half. The valve is located on the inside back of the machine on top right when looking at the front of the machine. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace.

Hope this helps

located under intake in water crossover pipe, you can access the sensor by removing intake chamber box, then pcv hose connected to the block, the connector is orangeish 2pin,use a 19mmdeep socket on a 3/8 ratchet to get it loose, make sure engine is cool, also make sure there is a new brass washer with your new sensor, sometimes the old washer comes off when removing the sensor, sometimes it sticks to the pipe, some coolant will escape so make sure to top it off

Water leaks

If there is water leaking from under the washer, then you have a water leak from one of your water hoses. Check the back of the washer, where the water comes into the washer, to see if its leaking water or the hose is cracked. If its leaking water from the intake hose, then unscrew the hose and check the rubber washer, to see if it needs reolaced. Sometimes those rubber washers get cracked or broken. If that doesn't help, unplug your washer from the power cord and unscrew your intake water hoses and flip the washer gently on it's side and check the water hoses under the washer for leaks or cracks. Replace the hoses if cracked. Your local hardware store should have replacement hoses. This should solve your problem, but if not, then you need to call a washer repair person to look at it. I hope this helps.:)

Leak into washer

The solenoid for the water intake is faulty. It may just have some crud stuck in it. You have two, one for hot and one for cold connected directly to the hoses on the back. You can shut off the cold water supply and see if it still leaks - if it does the hot water solenoid is faulty - if the leak stops then the cold water solenoid is bad.
