Spare USB ports are available in the electronic market, contact a good computer hardware professional to get it replaced if it is physically broken.

My cpu overheated and now my video, keyboard, mouse, and usbs wont work! Whats wrong with it. Do i need a new fan?

Why did it overheat? In cases where a CPU has overheated, it more likely you will need a new CPU. If you can get one. Does the fan run? Is there dust in or around the heatsink? Have you booted the PC? If so, does it start to boot? Does the operating system load up? Anything displayed on the screen? Any errors on bootup? Rgds, Dave.

I had a power surge over the weekend and now none of my USB ports are working and I keep getting a popup message that my USB hub has had a power surge. Those on the rear of my board as well as those...

One option is to install a board into your PCI slot. It will give you a few USBs in the back, and most models have internal connector so you can reconnect the front ones to the PCI card instead of the mobo.

Usbs not working. am37 motherboard. Updated to the newest bios that I could find (Bios 3.20). Compaq Presario 6400NX. Im running 1gb of ram.

Remove bios battery and erase new bios (usually a pair of pins to short). If USBs now work - don't upgrade bios! If bios settings have no setting for diabling USB, motherboard failrure seems likely. Try a PCI USB card to provide sockets.

its typical that after a power surge, some capacitors or controllers are blown. It may seem fine, but maybe its only one circuit blown on the usb controller, which you cant see without a magnifier.

If you don't want to change the whole motherboard, just buy and additional USB PCI card

NO Audio even after putting in own sound card

Difficult to diagnose from afar but go to Start>Run, then type 'dxdiag' without quotes and see if; when it does a sound and video test anything shows up.
