SOURCE: frigidaire diswasher detergent dispenser

the first thing to make sure is that the incoming water temp is at least 120 degrees.the next thing to do is check your water level and pressure when running if the water pressure is not high enough then you may have to replace the main wash motor.
if you do not think there is enough water in the bottom of the unit after it has stopped fillng add a few more cups to bottom and continue the wash cycle.
if there is no change in the performance replace the main wash motor

Wash temp to cold dishes not clean even after #1 wash and detergent does not release either

I suspect the release on the detergent dispenser has failed, I am assuming that the water is heating up in the washing process, you can tell that by feeling the door during the wash cycle.
You have 2 options (if the water is heating)
1 replace the part
2 After it has done the first rinse and filled to do the main wash (or when it has filled to do the main wash without a rinse if you start without a rise) open the door and throw the powder/tablet/sachet into the dishwasher.and it will wash fine The only snag is you have to remember if you are doing a first rinse. If you throw the powder in too early it might drain out

I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply and remember, even if you don't vote for me a please and thank you goes a long way.

My Simpson Ezi Sensor is washing clothes leaving grimy tracks and soap powder on the clothes. BeforeI seek any mechanical help, can I put the washing machine through a cleaning cycle of hot water to clean...

Hi from France,

Particularly if the water supply has a lot of calcium in it (hard water), it is necessary to 'clean' it out regularly.
This is done by buying anticalc powder sachets specificaly designed for washing machines (AND often the same stuff for dishwashers!).
If your machine is not new i.e. a few years old and has not hathe benifit of regular cleaning it will be well worthwhile spending some money on these sachets. What I have done with ours is to swith it off, put a couple of sachets into the drum and then pour in (from a kettle or similar) hot water to dissolve the powder. I have then left it overnight so that the heating element is well soaked and hopefully anti-calc'ed. Run a quick wash to flush it out. It will do no harm and hopefully improve its efficiency- IF the problem is due to poor heating and not something else.
I would start there.

Cheers,
John C

Food is staying on the dishes..cheese, bread dough etc.

eggs, cheese, dough are not going to be removed from the dishes by the dishwasher especially if you are using gel type detergents. these need to be removed before they go into the dishwasher. Try a higher end detergent in powder or tablet form. Some of these detergents Cascade Complete have more agressive food disolving agents. They also cost 2 times as much as everything else. Save the money rinse your dishes.

The soap fails to disolve!

Having the dishwasher powder failing to dissolve is a far more common problem recently with the filing economy.  People are trying to save money by buying generic dishwasher powder rather than brand name products.  The ultra-cheap products fail to dissolve because their ingredients include bulk fillers with minerals, etc.
It is possible that the dispenser is failing to open, but that is a generally rare problem except on very, very old dishwashers. Before deciding the dishwasher has failed, go buy a box of brand name (Electrosol or Cascade) dishwasher detergent powder and only use it.
Please report back your results here, OK?  Good Luck!

Soap not disolving

is it liquid or powder? we had this problem with cascade powder.... tried liquid cascade and the same thing happened even though i'd been using cascade for YEARS.... manual said could be detergent was "old" and beyond its shelf-life, or that we used too much or too little (go figure that one out LOL).... not trying to promote a brand here, but we switched to palmolive ECO gel and haven't had a problem since -- no goop left in dispenser!.... hope that helps... -cynthia :)

Detergent (gel) always left in dispenser and on bottom of door

Get package of unsweetened limonade drink mix and put in machine and run a cycle, this will clean all parts of hard water deposits. Cascade powder is the manufactors choice, till they get ad space and samle giveaways

New dishwasher leaving powder residue on dishes.

Quit using the new Cascade. The formula change is what is causing the problem. No research from Cascade before releasing the product

Maytag model mdbtt70aww. After the end cycle. open the door and found detergent tab on the bottom and the main wash cover is opened. Maytag diswasher model MDBTT70AWW. Put dishes and so...

Check both arms are spinning freely when you have the machine loaded up normally.
If thats ok you could try powder instead of tabs if they are not disolving correctly
