Its a common problem, all you need to do is download and Install Windows XP (either 32 or 64 bit addition's) driver depending on your Windows 7. (If windows 7 is 64 bit then install 64 bit or else 82 bit for 32 bit Windows Xp usually Service pack 2).

Have a nice day !

How can I change the resolution from 1280 x 800? This is the highest possible according to the display setttings. I have removed the generic pNp monitor. I am running Vista Business. The display adapter is...

Graphics Unable to use the native resolution, such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050 and 1440x900 circuit388.gif Symptom(s):
On some displays, users may be unable to use the native resolution when using Intel® chipset graphics. Resolutions such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050, and 1440x900 are not available in graphics properties.

Cause:
The display's EDID is not read properly when connected to some digital flat panel displays. Display devices describe its capabilities by sending EDID (Extended Display Information Data) to the computer.

Solution:
Intel has released a graphics driver to specifically address this issue; however, there may be side effects to this solution such as longer than normal resume times from standby. This solution will only work with external displays such as DFP displays connected to the computer's VGA port. This driver is not designed to address issues with a notebook's built-in display (Local Flat Panel) or with TV’s connected to the system. This driver is provided as is. Intel has not tested, and does not guarantee, the operation of the driver for this purpose.

Cannot change dispaly setting for monitor after reformatting...only 16 bit available & only 640x480

After your reformatting you removed the VGA driver and your driver is not a built in driver along with windows

Solution - open your pc note down the vga card chip details over the chip or from the manufacturer label or are you able to watch closely while your computer power up - It will display about the VGA card properties such as manufacturer it capacity etc....

Go to www.google.com search for it driver from the net and download it and install it in your pc - solve all your problems

May be now your sound also not working same thing you do or find a driver cd you got along with your computer - run it

Thanks Hothawk
