F1 - Board failure

Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

Only solve with replace control board (also called ERC or clock).
Hope this helps.

What does the error code F1 E1 mean and how can i fix it

Hi.

F1 - E1 means: EEPROM Checksum error. The EEPROM is a memory chip located in the ERC (control module). The problem is communication error with the EEPROM

1. Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds.
2. Re-apply power and observe for at least one minute.
3. If code re-appears, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Note: Applies to all F1-Ex codes except F1-E3.

Regards.

I put my Frigidaire Electrolux oven in cleaning mode an hour ago. It is now beeping non stop with "F1 Err" on the screen. Nothing I push seems to work

The F1 code indicates a control failure. Try pressing a key to see if it displays on the screen. If not, the keypad may have shorted and requires replacement.

If the keypad is fine, there is perhaps a problem with the internal checksum; disconnect the power for 30 seconds and reconnect it. If the code remains, you must replace the electronic oven control (EOC).
- If the F1 code appears when the oven is running, it means that the oven senses an overheating condition. Use an external thermometer to check the temperature inside the oven.
- If it is accurate, it means that either the temperature sensor probe or the control relay has malfunctioned. Disconnect the power, and inspect the sensor probe, replacing it if necessary.
- If the oven is actually overheating, replace the EOC.
- If the oven is allowed to overheat, the resulting damage is possibly so extensive that the entire oven may require replacement.

When i try to bake the oven beeps and F1 appears on the screen

F0, F1, F8, FF Errors
These errors generally mean the control board has failed in one or more ways. F1 is by far the most prevalent. When this happens you need to replace the control board. You may be able to buy a new board or have us (www.fixyourboard.com) repair it (particularly useful if the board has been discontinued by the manufacturer). We have many DIYers who remove their control board and send it in for repair.

On some models it is possible that F1 could also be caused by a keypad problem. In this case it will specify in the tech sheet to power down the oven, disconnect the keypad then power the oven back on, wait for a few minutes to see if the error reappears. If the error reappears it is definitely the control board. If not, it is probably the keypad but be aware that F1 usually starts out as being an intermittent fault, then gets more prevalent with time.

Hope helps (remember to rate this answer and send us your comments).

My oven is beeping and the F1 code and F7 code are appearing on the screen

Hi

F1 indicates a fault on the electronic oven controller (the clock) & F7 means a function key is stuck.

Check all the keys on the keypad if the fault remains you probably need a new clock.
