I am trying to load 2 different CD's by Mariah Carey onto my SD memory card. It keeps telling me on the PC that the songs are already downloaded, but they are not showing up on the phone play list. Why?

In Windows, click on Start/Computer. A window opens showing all the drives connected to the computer. Under "removable drives" locate the SD card. Hover your mouse pointer over the SD card icon and it should tell you how much free space is on the card. If necessary, delete some photos or other data to make more space available so you can add the photos you want. If there's already plenty of space, try formatting the SD card in either ex-FAT or NTFS format. Then try copying the photos again. If the SD card does NOT in appear in removeable drives then the SD card may be faulty. Try a different SD card.
Yes of course you can, insert to the Cd into the CD-Drive, connect the phone to your computer using the Usb cable so that you can open up the Memory Card onto your computer, now open the contents of the Cd, copy the music you want to and paste it on your memory card's music (songs) folder. Keep on doing this until you have transferred all the songs you want to. After that disconnect the usb and remove the phone and the CD, now check your phone.
Solution 1: Set to save the files into SD card rather than into Phone memory. For example, set song folder and picture folder to a location on memory card. Refer to the phone manual for detailed steps.
Solution 2: use a computer and card reader to manually store songs into SD card. Then set the phone to folder into sd card to get the songs. Clear phone memory afterward.
I'm not sure but you should be able to find the settings for saving data in it's menu and change the location from internal/onboard to memory card. I hope this helps, and Good Luck.
Very Simple Solution. I have the same phone.
First you need a Data Cable that connects your phone to a USB port on your PC.
Secondly, go to http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/support/software/html/mp3_software.html
and download the mp3 loader.
Its very easy to use. good luck.
btw, I found a data cable on ebay for $5
I think that the problem is with the songs file formats.
Try checking that they are all mp3. if they aren't then you have to convert them using an "MP3 Converter" software. there all plenty on the web.
Goodluck
