Hello www,

If your ARCHOS does not respond correctly or does not start properly, you can try to remedy this situation with a system recovery. Be very careful with this as there are options to erase all the data on your device.Turn off the device and wait 10 seconds.Press and hold the volume + button while powering on the device.Keep the volume + pressed until the Recovery mode starts (white screen).

How do I master reset my EM749 tablet

To reset the tablet (for example if it's frozen and won't power off), there is a small hole on the back marked 'R', near the SD Card slot. Insert a pin or small paperclip into the hole to press the reset button to reboot.

To reset the tablet to factory settings, follow the instructions in the linked PDF:

Mounting sd card to a new phoenix hipstreet tablet

Look in Settings/Storage/SD Card and see if you have a Mount option when you insert the card. Make sure the card has gone all the way into the slot and has clicked into place. Make sure the size of the SD card you are inserting is supported by your tablet. (Check the specs in the full manual) If the SD card is larger than what is supported, it may not register with the operating system. Try formatting the SD card on a PC with a card reader and then inserting it into your tablet. (Use FAT32 format).Try another formatted SD card and see if it is recognized by the tablet.

An SD Card (Secure Digital Card) is an ultra small flash memory card designed to provide high-capacity memory in a small size. There maybe a pin hole RESET button on the back of the tablet. Use a straighten paperclip and insert it into this pinhole to reset the tablet.

Move apps from sd to ext sd card

the applicatioin have to have the ability to be moved to an SD card
example: the app "fruit ninja" scroll or look near the bottom of the application page or whatever you call it it should say somthing along the lines of "modify to SD" or somthing then the app has the ablitiy to be transfer over an SD card and so on. if the app page does not say "modify to SD" chances are your not able to tranfer it over SD card unless you use your usb mini cord or whatever cord you used.

Archos/7ob internet tablet how long does it have to charge innitionately?

I find charging for 24 hours before use will yield the maxium capacity, after that overnight charge is fine. I would wait until tablet is activated before the sd cards are inserted.

I try to download apps to sd card on archos 101directly but by default it downloded to internal memory. Can any one help how can i download throw sd card thank you

First, you must be on android 2.2 or higher to do this. You can download the update here: http://www.archos.com/support/support_tech/updates.html?country=us&lang=en
Next, once you have the new firmware, you go to the applications menu in settings. Once there, select a program you would like to move to the sd card and in that menu press the move to sd card button.
