First, you need to know the type of audio video format of your TV has, for example HDMI, DVIX, MP4, MPEG4 and etc. you can find the specific type of the audio video on your user's manual. Once you get to know the exact type of your audio video you can now proceed in downloading the movie on your USB.

How do I update to play mp4 films

USB memories formatted NTFS will read XviD videos. Ext3 or FAT formatted will copy or read XviD. MPEG4 is not supported but your TV may be able to show them directly via its USB PORT.

Hannspree hsg1075 says it plays video from USB but has no video in input menu.

Notes:
• It does not support "NTFS" and the maximum file size of a single file is 4GB.
• Progressive format jpeg files are not supported.
• Due to the compatibility limitation, not all of USB devices are able to be
displayed properly.
• Operation using USB hubs is not guaranteed.
• Due to the compatibility limitation, not all of external hard disks are able to be
detected correctly.
• Cables used to prolong the USB device must be certified as USB 2.0.
• In USB devices, video files may not be played properly if speed is not enough.

The USB port does not work on my Sanyo TV model CE32LD17-B

Hello the usb drive normaly has to be formated in FAT 32 file system, so the tv can see the drive.

The film you have downloaded, also has to be in a format the tv can read.

Try to read the manual for the tv, to know the details what file the tv supports.

Good luck

How do i play films on my tv using a usb port?

Is this question about watching movies made on the Meep on your TV? As I believe this has changed along the way, the OSI call center would be best able to answer that question.

1. The TV and drive may not be compatible with each other. 2. The formatting of the drive could be the problem. The USB memory stick would be formatted as FAT32, but the Iomega drive would have been formatted as NTFS. Maybe the TV can only read drives formatted as FAT32 and not NTFS.

Problem with my new purchased LED 8 series Samsung flat TV, there is a thin line on the middle of the TV that change in different color. What is the caused of that problem, should I exchange it for a new...

I would take it back and get another one. If you can try and keep the little fly lead you get with it for the scart.

If you havent noticed but the samsung series 8 LED does not have standard scart ports on the tv at all. there little fly leads that plug into it and have a female type scart adaptor on it.

another good tip for you... Samsung have something called wise link pro there on the newer tv's like yourself. This is a little USB on the television that allows you to plug a Usb stick into it and play MP3 (music), Photo's and allows you to watch VOB, DIVX etc (downloaded films)
save a lot of time transferring these into dvd format etc. Just plug and play.

Note older Samsung has wiselink but not the PRO.... pro allows you to watch films if its not Pro your stuck with mp3, and photo's sorry!!!

hope this helps
