SOURCE: How to program ilo TV w/universal remote to play DVD

I Believe You Can Go To Channel 2 And Right Below Those Channels Are The 3 Video Channels Turn On Your Dvd Player And Go Through Them. If That Doesn't Work Try Looking At The Buttons On Your Tv For A Tv Video. Make Sure You Dont Have A Tv Video Button On Your Remote If You Do Then Just Click It Till You Find The Appropriate Video Channel.

SOURCE: TV won't change channels or adjust volume

Do you have a universal remote? If the batteries are taken out for a little period of time, the remote will loose the codes and they will have to be reset. You can find the codes by google universal remote codes.

If you have a factory remote that came with the television, than it may be faulty or the sensor on remote or tv may need to be cleaned.

SOURCE: cox universal remote won't control samsung tv ln52a650 volume

This is a tough one, I can come up with possibly 2 solutions, 1 being that if the batteries are low you will sometimes lose partial control of some of the functions on the remote, and if that is not it, then I have another that this one happened to me once, The infrared on the TV was not picking up the volume button I was sitting at an angle, so everytime i sit in that chair everything works but the voulume control i have to point it right at it on direct line and not from the side...Hope this helps...Steve

SOURCE: Sony BRAVIA volume problem

I had this same issue, and solved it by putting the TV in "Theater Mode', which can be acheived by hitting the "Theater" button on the remote.

SOURCE: I have a 47lg70 ug 47" tv. The set up menu

I have been recently having a very similar problem, and was wondering if when this happened to you did the tv also flip back and forth between the menu and the truemotion demo??
Mine will pop up and show a screen that shows no program info available (similar to if you are changing channel but it is running through hdmi) then it will change to trumotion demo for a few moments before randomly navigating the menu by itself and same as yours, no changes ever occur.
I have found that by continuously pressing the menu button on the side of the tv, it will prevent this until you let go........
I checked with LG, but unfortunately no recall :-(

How to program a vizio tv without a remote vizio

Upon first start you should be prompted. If not, you will find a series of buttons on the TV itself; power, channel up down, volume up/down, input and menu. Hit the menu button and the menu will pop up. Scroll up and down with channel button, select and controls are the volume. either that or you can get a Samsung phone that has an app built into it called watch on, which has a universal remote that works for virtually everything. Happy surfing.

Is there any way to get into menu to change from "ant" to "cable" without remote? TV does not have original remote and universal remotes will not access menu options.

Hold volume -/+ few seconds, menu will appear. Navigate up/down menu with channel buttons, page change with volume buttons.

Cant use menu

You may need a different remote. Is this a universal remote? Some of them have these common problems. Mine, for instance, doesn't use the OK button at all; instead, the Menu button counts as the OK button.

Try navigating the menu with the TV's volume / channel buttons (the ones on the TV itself, not on the remote). This usually works. Try that until you get a different remote.

We purchased a tv from a school channels only goes up to 02-13 cannot go any farther. We are using a universal remote that when we go to menu to channels it doesn't allow you to either enter or delete...

U can't do much on a universal tv remote.Only the basic mostly, like power on/off,channels up/down and volume up/down that about it.If u wanted more functions and controls and adjustments inside of the tv Menu for options like changing and adding functions.U must have the tv original remote to be able to do it.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv orignal remote.

Cannot change channel, volume, or select menu. will not accept input from remote anymore. you press menu, on the tv, nothing then you press volume or channel and menu pops up but as soon as any key is...

If the buttons do something, but not what they are supposed to do.....By chance are you using a universal remote (replacement for your original)? If so, the codes for the remote need to be re-set for use with your TV. Hope this helps.

Phillips 19 inch TV/VCR combo --no remote--can't change channels

Hi,
I cannot be sure of the exact model but... Press and hold the TV's volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously. On many older televisions, this opens the device menu without the use of a remote. Otherwise, use the menu button, which you can navigate in a similar fashion.
Also, somewhere should be an input button. Press it multiple times times to switch between various inputs (the input must match whatever input you are using). Usually after these menus are opened you can use vol up vol down to change things.

You need the original remote controller to be able to switch input modes.Universal ones usually don't work. If you don't have the original remote and can't find it ever or if it is too expensive you can buy an rf modulator ( very cheap) and connect your dvd player, game console etc) to the modulator then connect the modulator to your antenna with a coax cable. This worked for me. It placed the connection to channel 4 and other cable channels are still working,

You can buy the RF Modulator from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180299245670
