Question about Asko W6761 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

My Display is showing F2, according to the manual this is a moter fault. Can anyone give any tips as to how to repair this myself? I am quite handy and have just fixed our dishwasher, the washer has no guarentee left so I would like to give that a go. Any tips as to where to start? Thanks

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(Here are my complete, pre-typed guidance notes for belt- and motor- replacement which should assist and I would recommend replacing the belt at the same time anyway!)
Belts are not expensive- sorry I do not know how much yours would cost- and are easy to be changed by a competent person:-
REMOVE POWER FROM THE MACHINE AND REMOVE THE BACK.
The motor support bolts should be loosened and the old belt removed. Often putting the new belt on is a bit of a struggle, even with the motor 'loose', because it is new and smaller!
Once on it should be tensioned by pulling the motor against the belt firmly- but not over tight- and the motor support bolts tightened.
ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD ANY FORM OF LEVERAGE BE USED TO TENSION THE BELT. THAT COULD LEAD TO DAMAGE TO THE BELT, MOTOR AND BEARINGS- EXPENSIVE!
If it turns out to be the motor, it is false economy to just have the brushes changed although financially very attractive. Experience of others is that the brushes may only last months unless, that is, the motor is totally refurbished at the same time. It depends on how old the motor is and how much wear the commutator has had. New motors are not cheap, though. Ours for a Bosch cost GBP250- but it's your choice!

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Gree ac showing on display F2

Hi Younis, I found the code on the link below, I hope this helps.......... CHEERS..

F2 ambient temp. sensor fault
1? Check whether the resistance of sensor is normal, otherwise replace it.
2?Check whether the sensor wire is short circuit or open circuit, and whether the plug is well contacted, whether there is welding off or rosin joint on the electric control board, repair it if there is any above.
3?When the 1 and 2 are both normal, then the components or integrated circuit is damaged, the electric control board should be replaced. http://www.chigo.bg/resources/pdf/Failure-code-manual.pdf

XEROX 8500 PRINTER FAULT 37,002.47:29330

From the service manual:

37,002.4x - PEST_FAULT_JSL_HEATER_DISCONNECT
PEST - Left jetstack disconnect. The left jetstack is not drawing the expected power from
the supply.
1. Run the printhead Left Jetstack Heater test.
2. Verify printhead wiring.

Yes, could be faulty printhead, but could be faulty power supply as well.

I have the full service manual available if you need it. Please take a moment to give this solution a rating of fixya. Thanks!

Amber light shows car tipping downwards

Slippery road light is probably traction control. That light illuminated means the traction control is off. The car tipping downwards is probably the descent control. This is a system that applies brakes when going down a steep hill to ensure maximum traction and control. Both systems are probably operated by the same box. I would check fuses and relays first... beyond that further diagnostic will have to be done by the dealer or a German specialist with the use of a VAG-COM diag computer. You can buy a VAG-COM for around $300 usd from Ross Tech. http://www.ross-tech.com/

My oven is giving me an error of E6 F2, what does that mean

Hi,

Equipment is Whirlpool double oven RBD305PDS14 built-in. After a very stormy summer 2007, I thought a power surge may have zapped the control board. Problem initially presented on display as error & fault "E6 F2"; simply pressing "Timer Off" would usually clear this error & fault code.

However, some months later, the display would often go completely blank followed by the beep sequence "short-long-short-short-short" (Morse code: dit dah dit dit dit). No error & fault code would appear. Pressing any keypad oven control did not work at all in this condition. When power was cycled at the breaker panel, the usual "PF" with clock display did not appear.

[TURN OVEN POWER OFF AT BREAKER!!!]

After following the excellent information on "how to remove the control panel" posted in this forum, I first tested the "control panel thermal fuse" (refer to the tech sheet that should be behind the control panel once it is removed). It showed a closed circuit.

I turned my attention to the "flexible" keypad connector cable (error & fault code "E6 F2" is a keypad or keypad connector problem; again, refer to tech sheet). The control panel has a board mounted female connector with two tabs that may be gently pulled upward to release the flexible cable.

I cleaned the flexible cable contact area (it seats into the board mounted female connector) carefully with a Q tip and some isopropyl alcohol. I reinserted the flexible cable and gently pressed down on the two tabs (noted above) on the board mounted female connector. VERY GENTLY tug on the flexible cable to insure it is gripped by the connector.

After all of this monkey business, I re-mounted the control panel display panel on the oven and restored power. So far, so good. After applying power, the "PF" with clock display always appears. I am able to set the clock and press "Start". Over functions normally. The clock displays as normal and I no longer observe the problem I described above.

BTW, I noted the incoming 240V has transient suppression (no surge protection, however

Prosine 2.5 fault 195

This internal fault code can mean so many things, but basically it more than likely has some internal parts that the smoke is no longer inside. They can be repaired however, email sunyout@gmail.com to discuss further.
Thanks, Bob

We had the same error codes F2 E6. We were told to turn off the breaker to the oven for 5 minutes and then turn it back on and it will reset itself. We tried it and it worked! Whirpool wanted to send someone out on a service call. Thank goodness we didn't!
