Question about HP DeskJet 3940 InkJet Photo Printer
I checked the specs on your printer and it has only one type of connection which is USB. You can get a gender changer and convert from USB to serial but it may not be optimal.
If you have a router and/or modem that has both USB and ethernet connections, you might try putting it on a home network and access it that way?
You can also get an external hub with 2.0 USB ports that has a serial cable choice of connection.
