Question about Frigidaire FGR231A Gas Dryer
I have a Frigidaire Gas Dryer with the lint trap located in by the fron load door. When I turn it on it seems to work fine however it does not seem to be drying the clothes. I pulled the entire fron panel off cleaned it and jumed the door switch wires so I can see it operate. When it is started the glow plug turns on and the gas valve opens and burns for about 2 minutes before the flame goes out and the dryer continues to tumble. Any advice on which component it is that is causing the gas valve to shut prematurely?
Thanks in advance for any help you could provide.
Most of the time, the culprit is a bad gas valve coil(s). Replace those, and your dryer should return to normal operation.
