Question about Heating & Cooling
Tony, the number 13 represents an Error Code - Combustion Control Faulty . Which may indicate that the Pilot is dirty and needs cleaning or the Thermocouple and/or the Thermopile are failing.. However, you said, "it works fine in the morning, yet in the evenings it only lasts for around 5 minutes", which would seem to negate that theory. Unless, you only use the heater briefly in the morning and longer in the evenings. In any event, according to your Owners Manual (see link below), the solution is Service Call, by a qualified Rinnai Service Technician.
