To day I am more confused than yesterday
Thank you for your second expert opinion but
the first expert says may be problem with the internal pad and now the second there are circuit problems within the camera

is there any test that can help to identify the problem in manner apropiate ?

Hi, Hopefully I can help you out more then the other person who previously left a reply. With the zoom it sounds like there's an issue with the motor that runs the lens which isn't unusual since they tend to jam however with the fact that all but one buttons on the back aren't working it sounds like there's a circuitry problem within the camera. I've seen it happen a few times before. Unfortunately with it likely being the circuitry there's no solution you can do yourself. I've seen this problem repaired once before and it was an expensive fix. Since it's more then likely the camera's no longer under any sort of warranty in all honesty you're best option is probably to get a new camera. If you want something similar to that model I'd suggest a Canon Powershot A1200. If there's anything more I can help you out with don't hesitate to ask =)

I can't see PREviews anymore on my Cannon Power Shot A560 of still pics I'm taking. I still have REviews and menus as well as it works fine during video (shooting & review). Is there a setting...

Yep, sounds like you just accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This turns the screen on and off to save batteries (you would then use the optical viewfinder in its place). To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time with the camera on.

Were do i find my restart button on my canon powershot a560

Digi Cams does not have restart button. We have to switch off it and restart it.
It is located besides your shooting mode dial (round wheel located at top side)
for easy reference go to the following link. download the manual and see the manual's page no. 3 (PDF page no.5), option No.2

When I turn my camera on, the screen is black, i can take the picture and it will show on "review" on the screen.

Think that you might have accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This manually turns the LCD display on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time.

Unresponsive buttons because of engaged zoom

the reason why the lens zooms out is because the zoom switch is faulty and might need replacing. The way to tell this is when you switch it on in camera mode you will see the zoom bar displays on the lcd and stays there.

Take the camera about 6 inches away from the card. Use P mode on all automatic settings, but use the MF flash (press the close-up tulip twice, on the bottom of the navigation wheel), set to 15 cm (use left and right buttons to adjust). Try putting the camera on a mini tripod and the card in a holder to minimize camera shake. Also, ensure that the optical image stabilizer is on. When viewing the taken picture on the camera, zoom in as you would when taking the picture to see the picture at full resolution.

  • The digital zoom cannot be used when the LCD monitor is off.
note_icon_a70.gif
  • images become coarser the more they are digitally zoomed.
  • Since camera shake may become a factor when using the digital zoom, the use of a tripod is recommended.
  • Digital Zoom is disabled when the [Postcard Print Mode] is selected as a image quality setting.
IF this fails, your camera is in need of service.
