I have a acer projector ph110, it telling me to replace the globe. Change the globe but can't get into the menu screen to reset globe hours. Try pressing the menu botton but it stll have the warning...

Hi, I had the same problem all you have to do is connect something to the projector like a laptop or dvd player so it has a signal. Once the picture comes up of what you are projecting from the laptop or dvd player you can enter the menu and reset the lamp hours. Hope this works for you if not please let me know.

I need to know where in brisbane I can get hold of globes and fuses for a Rollio P35A slide projector

Any store that sells Osram or Philips can supply the bulbs (globes). Fuses are available from any electronics store. They do not have to be silica filled.

May be you have couple of weeks time to replace lamp in projector and don't forget to reset lamp timer hours as procedure would be mentioned in user manual.

There is a Square glass frame that has a pattern in the glass near the projector globe trhat is cracked would like to know what it is, a part no. if posible and weather it is available and aprox cost of it...

it's a diffuser lens, also called a fly-eye lens. there are 2; the second is on the other side of the cracked one. you can try www.projectordoctor.com, but you might have to send it in to sony for repair. they should be able to sell you or repair just the lenses, so don't let them talk you into replacing the entire optical engine.

Infocus LP725 Replacement Bulb

if you don't know exactly how many hours are on the new lamp, you can't be sure it works. since it's a mercury lamp, there will be no contenuity. check the lamp for cracks or clouding, not just burn marks.if the lamp is actually good, you may have a ballast issue.

Infocus LP-820 no power

You should get some indication of power even without the globe. This can however be a problem relating to the globe not being inside the projector.
Most projectors use a switch inside so they know when a lamp is installed. Some have several of these and a fuse that is on the lamp unit itself.

Replace the lamp back into the projector and apply power again. If you get lights then you have that much solved at least.

If there are still no power lights at all, then you may have had a power surge that not only killed the globe, but has blown the internal fuse for the power supply as well (or even killed the power supply)
To get access to the power supply you will need to disassemble the whole unit almost. If your not comfortable doing this, then I would advise getting it checked over by your local tech. It could save you hundreds of dollars buying a new lamp when the projector may not be worth repairing.
