Go to run
type services.msc
look for Windows Audio under the Services Menu.
Right-click it and click 'Start'
hope this fixes it! get back to me :]

For the Service to be started (since you said it wont let you start it, only restart) you need the following system components:

    Multimedia Class Scheduler

    Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

Windows Audio Endpoint Builder (if windows vista)

try to search some of these on the internet and see if you accidently deleted one from your system. :]

Sounds like a corrupt soundcard. Check to see if its muted. Try restarting your computer. Also check the connections going to the speakers from the sound card. All the simple stuff. If this doesnt work. Try using an old soundcard to see if it works, if it does, your soundcard is corrupt. You may need to buy a new one.

I want to download sound driver for my toshiba equium EA60 PSA67E-00300C8J

Hi,

Windows XP Driver for Equium A60:

http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Satellite/sa60/win-xp/display-xp-614106430.zip

Windows 2000 Driver for Equium A60:

http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Satellite/sa60/win-2k/display-win2k-614106430.zip

Generally all Toshiba drivers you will find on this website:

http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

PS: You should use the Toshiba graphic drivers because these drivers are especially designed for notebook usage.

Driver for sound is missing for toshiba

All Mfgs. have web sites to download drivers for your PC. Type in Toshiba and hit Ctrl+Enter at the same time. Tell that site where you are located. Choose the product (Computers) and on that site you should see a tab for support which should take you to the driver(s) in question. Download them to your desktop and run them following the instructions that should open. This will fix a driver problem. This url should get you close, but you have to choose the exact model: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp. Try that and see if it helps.

It has only been 2 and a half months sinse i bought my toshiba equium A300D series laptop. Once i have fully charged my laptop i only have a hour to use until it needs charging again. I never had this...

this happens to every laptop after a while, although after only 2 months it should be ok, you may need to send it back under guarantee, but remember you will have more things running now then when you first had it, using more processor power and also any usb peripherals youve added also shorten battery life.
