Question about AOC 2436Vw Monitor

Open Question

My AOC 2436V monitor is leaning forward in it's stand. I'm trying to take the monitor off the stand, but pushing in the little hole that says "push" does nothing. Any suggestions? Is it permanently attached? I was easily able to disconnect the base from the stand.

You may have a bad cable or the cable is running too close to a power supply or power cable. This can cause distortion and shadowing. Try moving or replacing the cables or the monitor to make sure it's away from any power sources.

Try searching eBay first. You might be able to purchase a generic replacement stand that uses the wall mounting screw holes.

I got this monitor, got it all set up, only to learn that it's broken. Now I need to disassemle it to return it, but I can't get the stand off. Getting the flat base off was easy, but not the arm.

When u put on the monitor stand togother did u a snap on sound, yes mean the stand it snap in a hole and held it on somewhere.Look a latch or a knob pull or push on that latch or knob than push the stand up or down u should able to take it out.Or read the owner manual they should have sections on the stand and the base put in and take out instructions.

I just hooked up an AOC monitor to two computers. Sound is working on one but not working on my HP Pavilion. How do I resolve that? I don't have any extra speakers.

The sound goes out of the computer to a set of speakers. If the monitor has speakers built into it, then the sound comes out of them. Each computer must have a connection to the sound card (the little green hole) to speakers. If you want sound from the second computer, unplug the sound cable from the one computer and plug it into the other one.

LG - 32LG20 - Excellent LCD TV, but the stand is junk

there are four screw holes at the back, you might want to make use of it for anchoring. I guess these models are designed for TV-like installations and not for computer desktop monitors. The base takes a lot of space too.

Cannot attach base to samsung lcd monitor sw2233

Llay the monitor face down on the floor (I put it in the styrofoam from the package) and then put it up against a solid surface. Then push the part into the socket before attaching the round base.

I tried pushing down onto the monitor while holding it upright but that didn't work. When I called Samsung tech support the solution above is what they told me to try and it worked.

Monitor stand and power cable needed

Hi Kiran,
If the power cable matches the power cable of your computer, it's a standard 3 prong power cable and you don't need a specific kind. If it's a small circular type you will need an external AC adapter, the type will depend on the manufacturer and make of your monitor. These can be found on eBay usually. Most monitors use different types of stands, but if your monitor has the standard VESA 75 or 100mm mounting holes on the back, you can find many monitor stands that are compatible with it. The standard VESA mounting holes are usually used for wall mounts but lots of stands connect to the monitor this way. You can tell by a set of 4 holes for screws or bolts on the back that are either 75mm or 100mm apart (vertically and horizontally). Don't forget to get the right kind of bolts for the stand, if it doesn't include them.
