Open up Device Manager (Windows key, Pause Break or right click on computer and go to properties. Then on the left go to the device manager.

Attempt to find your Flash drive, it might have a (!) next to it. Right click it and click uninstall. After that, Click on the top Icon that says scan for hardware changes (computer with magnify glass) and it should see it. If not restart.

If you cannot see your flash drive in device manager then it something wrong with the drive :/

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Anything I load on to my kingston data traveler 32GB dt101 gets corupted & does not open. I attempted top reformat however problem persist.

the ram chips have become corrupted, either from pulling out the data traveler when it was working, in a folder, and or windows was still accesing it even though it has said it is safe to remove. If this is still under warranty then send it back to get it replaced. I have a couple of 32GB and 16GB thumb drives that have become corrupted just because windows didn't recognise them properly and just kept on accessing them continuously. Sometimes reformatting will fix problem as a short term fix. Just get it replaced ASAP.

My kingston data travelor 32GB IS not show full data strorage space plz solv my problem

1) make sure that it is formatted correctly (NTFS if it is used with a PC, or whatever the camera supports)
2) 32 GB only refers to the "class" of storage, not total formatted space available. (you should get around 30-31GB)

How to format a pen drive?

I know about this problem and the solution.

First, you should know your pen drive is infected with a virus. You can't usually repair it, you'lll just have to format it, and I'm getting to that.

Now, Before you format the pen drive, you might want to preserve some files in the drive?

Instead of trying to view the pen drive by double clicking or right click=>open TYPE the ASSOCIATED DRIVE LETTER at the RUN DIALOG BOX (start=>run)

Eg:
If your pen drive is assigned to drive E:
Start=>Run
Type "E:" (without quotes) and hit enter.
It should open.

Now you will probably see some weired .exe file, probably named fun.exe. That's the virus. You just cant delete it. BUT you can copy the rest of the imprtant files to your hard drive.

TO FORMAT
Start=>Run
type "cmd" (without qoutes) and hit enter
type "format/x E:" (without qoutes and mind your spellings and spacing. REPLACE "E:" with the associated drive letter of the pen drive)
Hit enter.

Hope my info fixes your problem,
Thanx for using fixya.
