Question about Fisher and Paykel Washing Machines

2 Answers

I have a smart drive excellence 6.5 that is now taking up to 2 hours to do a wash. The majority of the time it stalls at the first rinse and starts beeping flashing the hot light at me. I do a warm wash and find all I have to do is reset the water temp button down at cold and it continues, - but it takes an age to fill. We have checked the filters on either end of the hoses and they are fine. Today it stalled on the wash cycle with the hot light flashing again, I just pushed the start button and it continued and finished the cycle without further interruption. Hope you can help

Your washing machine has got problems in the flow lines. So to start with remove the inlet hose to the washer and check the water pressure on the inlet. Secondly if this is Ok , proceed to check the inlet valve, check the flow out of the valve, if this LOW then the valve is clogged or the inlet filter is clogged. GET THIS IN ORDER BEFORE WE GO FURTHER.
Once the flow is good check if the wash starts as soon as the SET water level is reached. Keep the water level LOW for TESTING.
After the motor spins and washes , the drain will be activated . If the flow is LOW check the drain/ sump filter, check the drain pump/valve. if the drain output is low clean , repair or replace.
The water must fill in again and repeat. Now if the heater is also set the water must heat before it can spin.
Now if all the functions move accordingly the time will be reduced to the specification.

Hi,

If your machine does not complete the rinse or any program, check:

· The plug, the socket and the switch, if necessary, with another appliance.

· The fuse in the plug.

· That the door is closed.

· That a program is accurately selected.

If water will not enter, check:

· The hot and cold hoses are correctly connected to the relevant caps and that these are turned on.

· That a suitable program has been selected.

If water will not drain, check:

· That the outlet hose is not kinked or raised more than 40° from the floor.

· If you wish to remove articles when the water will not pump out, place the end of the drain hose into a bucket on the floor and allow water to drain out by gravity, noting that more than one bucketful may be present. Hook the hose into the sink again and try the spinner before removing the articles - if this fails most of the water can be bailed out with a cup.

· If the above method fails to remove the water then the pump is probably blocked - do not open the door, but contact your nearest Service Engineer.

Lg tromm manual

Problem is too much soap. Wrong soap. Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.

I am trying to clean earthen pottery plates in my dish washer and after washing half of the plates disappear.

The Kenmore PRO also has an Ultra Wash Filtration High Energy Filtration System that helps the majority of us with hard water. It features 2 spray arms, and a Turbozone that blasts away the most gunked up items you can make a mess on.

The Kenmore PRO also features 6 cycles. The High Energy Smart Wash Cycle is the most advanced and versatile. It actually senses the load size, soil amount, toughness of soil and uses minimal water and energy. The Smart Wash Cycle runs from 110 minutes to a max of 194 depending on toughness of soil and uses from 4.2 gallons of water to 6.9.

The Pots Pans Cycle also makes some adjustments depending on soil level and takes from 140 minutes to 203 minutes to complete. It uses 4.8 to 6.9 gallons of water.

There is also a self-adjusting Normal Cycle that runs from 110 minutes to 193 minutes and uses 4.2 gallons to 6.9 gallons of water.

The Kenmore PRO also has a self-adjusting China Gentle Cycle that provides a light wash and gentle dry for delicate items and runs from 105 minutes to 194 minutes and uses 4.2 gallons to 6.9 gallons of water.

It also has a 1 Hour Wash that runs for 58 minutes and uses 8.0 gallons of water and a 15 minute Quick Rinse Cycle that uses 2.1 galllons of water.

The Kenmore PRO also has 5 other options that are additional to the Cycles. Each option adds time and water to the selected cycle. They are:

TurboZone, HI Temp Wash which raises the water temperature to 120 degrees F, a Steam Sanitize which raises the final rinse to 155 degrees F, a Top-Rack Only Option, and a Heated Dry Option.

The Kenmore PRO also has a Delay Option that allows you to run the dishwasher on off-peak hours and delays the start time up to 6 hours.

I have not field-tested all these options yet, becaue I am such a skeptic -- and picky about my dishes, I usually go ahead and always use the TurboZone, the Hi-Temp Wash, the Steam Sanitizer, and the Heated Dry Option. But, hey if you are plunking down $1500 for a dishwasher--you should make use of all your options. I'll keep this review up-to-date as my dates with the Kenmore PRO progress with dinner parties and my very precious china, but for now (mostly because of the "ClangBanger") our good china is safely stored in the cabinets.

I have a fisher and paykel Excellence smart drive 9. It is pulsing on and off every second then beeps with fault lights on. Lights on each of the cycle parts comes on (ie 4th long wash light, 3rd short...

UNplug from mains wait 5 seconds plug back in all lights should come on then go off if this happens then hold down start/pause button and press power after that take your hands off count 5 seconds then push power off again. That should reset things BUT I think your problem is a crook out of balance micro switch located under the main board,Or a crook lid switch bypass them and if it works replace the crook one.And if you don,t have any luck let me know which lights are on from left to right to establish the correct fault code.Hope this helps Cheers.
