Canon ixus 900ti lens error restart camera message coming up. Lens stuck in full out position, have tried restarting a couple of times but same thing and lens will not retract.

this usually happens when lens are stuck, the reason for this is duct, could be the camera has dropped down, or the gears are jammed, now to make it work, while switching your camera on, try to tap very gently, near the lens, should make it shake in prior to make lens come out from jammed position, try this several times...it should work, if it does not, then take it to qualified service tech

Dear God, It was like a comedy. I got on the whale boat, after having the Canon ixus 60 for 4 years. I've never had any error messages. The whales came 10 feet from the boat and twice raised their head, and no camera, just the beeping and the error message: lens error; restart camera.
