My canaon camera len is not going in it is showing error and asking for restart please solve my problem it is ixus 900ti and it not fallen down

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism is usually the culprit. A single grain of sand can do it. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

LENS ERROR, RESTART CAMERA...

CANON IXUS 561
Lens sometimes does not extend and error message 'lens error restart camera' appears when camera is turned on. This does not work without several tries and much button pressing. Problem is not caused by finger(s) in front of lens barrel.

Canon IXUS 100IS - 'Lens error, restart camera' message

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

When i turn on my canon ixus i7 its say on the screen lens error, restart camera

this usually happens when lens are stuck, the reason for this is duct, could be the camera has dropped down, or the gears are jammed, now to make it work, while switching your camera on, try to tap very gently, near the lens, should make it shake in prior to make lens come out from jammed position, try this several times...it should work, if it does not, then take it to qualified service tech

Canon ixus 60 - lens error restart, restart camera

Dear God, It was like a comedy. I got on the whale boat, after having the Canon ixus 60 for 4 years. I've never had any error messages. The whales came 10 feet from the boat and twice raised their head, and no camera, just the beeping and the error message: lens error; restart camera. How do you restart the ixus 60 Canon digital camera, anyone? Please help!! Thanks Claire@klarity.org, Maui, Hawaii. Aloha!! & Mahalo.

This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
