Make and model needed. vacuums generally dont have reset switches. I woul try another outlet or your fuses, my vacuum trips the breaker all the time.

Try to check the circuit... as when there is an circuit fault it gains high amperage and hence fuse shut the current till it regain. It happens to save your device.. don't be doctor. Get it done by authorized person or somthing or it will cost your more then your device cost...

Dyson dc04 we got it second hand 3 days ago and its fantastic butfor some reason now it wont switch on ive checked the fuse etc but its not switching on?

You will have to start with the power coming through the cord to the switch, make sure the switch is good. Then follow the power until it gets to the motor. Somewhere between the plug and the motor you will probably find your problem. There are many different things that it could be so it's really hard to determine the problem without seeing the vacuum.

Fuller Brush FB90 Bagged Upright Vacuum not starting

Try pushing the reset button located at the bottom on the back of the machine. If the reset button has tripped it usually indicates a clog or restriction somewhere caused the motor to overheat.

Wont turn on

Most common fault I find when repairing vacuum cleaners is that the cable is broken, however the motors do have a one shot thermal fuse on them, check the cable for continuity and breaks pay attention to where the cable goes into the vacuum body this is the most common point.

Reset button for Eureka 431 bagless upright???Where is it?!

If the red light is one the says "check brushroll" then you have to take it apart to find out what the problem is. It might be that the roll has too much stuff rapped around it so you have to take it out and clean. It could also be the rubber belt is not properly in place. Once you take the bottom off the belt should go on the far right side. Those are the only things i can think of. I have had mine for 3 years and have never seen a reset switch. Usually when my light comes on it is because there is a lot of hair rapped around my brush roll.
