Question about Roper FEP320 Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

I have an electric Roper range with the digital controls for the oven. I keep getting the F2 beep and sometimes it won't let me bake. I used it once today and then tried to make brownies. It won't work now. How do I fix this?

When I bake, my oven will start beeping and flash F2, what is that and how do I stop it?

Which manufacturer built your oven? The F2 error usually means that the oven temperature sensor is claiming the oven is too hot (or got too hot in the past). This usually requires replacing the temperature sensor. Sometimes, the control unit (clock) needs to be replaced.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the make and model of your oven for additional support.

E-1 & F-5 come on after about a minute when attempting to use self cleaning. the micro switches work & the solenoid has been replaced. could it be the ERC ?

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Roper electric range non stop beeping!

I'm thinking a door switch problem and/or maybe an intermittent keypad connection. Failing that, the electronic control may have failed. We repair oven controls at www.fixyourboard.com.
