Make sure you have straight ratio to the sky.
Make sure that the GPS is not in any type of disabled mode.
Check to make sure you have GPS coverage in your area.

How do I get a blue tooth program for my garmin nuvi vehicle gps,the booth tooth is built in just no program for it .for me to use the device as a blue tooth other than a gps

Hello,

You will nt be able to sue the nuvi 255w as a handsfree unit, the nuvi 265w is the unit that would support handsfree calling. And unfortunately there are no programs or attachments that can be purchased to make the 255w into a handsfree unit.

Hope this helps!

How do i turn on my bluetooth on the Garmin nuvi 205

The blue tooth is always on. Just set your phone on pair and it will find the gps if the gps has bluetooth.
According to this SPEC PAGE - your unit does not have blue tooth.

Have new lap top [toshiba satellite] have connected tomtomgo 520 twice and on both occasions my wi fi connection has been disabled

Built-in FM Transmitter to transmit sound over own car stereo and lets not forget Best hands-free calling> Best guess is that your computer is finding and trying to connect to the blue tooth connection since Toshiba has blue tooth capabilities, also you could be losing the wifi signal just because the FM transmitter is overpowering the the wifi signal. If i had to guess though i would go for the blue tooth connection as being the problem. Hope this helps
