My Nikon Cool Pix L810 is brand new. Placed batteries in camera (that it came with) and it would not turn on after pushing on/off button. Replaced batteries with a new set and my camera still will not

I suggest you return the camera to the shop where you bought the camera for a replacement or warranty repair. If you try to fix it yourself you may void your warranty.

Kodak c340 won't turn on

Hello Carol, Are these batteries new and name brand ? It sure sounds like low battery power, Those cheap batteries found in some stores do not have the energy to boot a camera even when new out of the package. The camera has a very high demand to start up. I own several cameras that will not turn on with brand new cheap batteries.
Best Regards, Russell

I put new batteries in and the green light turns on but then it shuts off and deosnt turn back on

Often I have found with modern digital cameras of all brans is that generic batteries no longer have the power to made them run, so even brand new generic batteries will not start the camera.
the solution is you always must buy the expensive brands or invest in a rechargeahle battery system for AA batteries, which mine takes the best. So try that out. I think u will find that money does make a difference

Got a brand new M320. Charged up the battery and

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a No power repair or a new cable. IT HAS BRAND NEW AA BATTERIES IT WILL TURN ON BUT THEN TURN OFF

Are you still using alkaline batteries? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pictures in a digital camera. Some may also have reached their shelf life, and though brand new and right out of the package, they may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. Digital cameras that use AA's for the most part should only be used with rechargeable batteries. If you read the camera's instruction manual concerning batteries, you may see the same recommendation.

Modern rechargeable batteries (I'm not talking about old NiCad's, those are awful) can hold over five times the amount of power of an old fashioned alkaline battery. Also keep in mind that rechargeable batteries will save you money in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may be angry with yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

Wont turn on.

I suspect that your battery might be down. Try opening with new batteries.

Camera immediate shuts off after turning it on

try using lithium or nimh rechargeable batteries. I had the same problem and switched out the batteries and put in eveready nimh batteries and it works fine now. Guess the old cheap ones weren't doing the job. And they were brand new batteries.
