The only option is to have the whole keypad replaced, the keyboard is none serviceable. However! a cheaper alternative is to buy an external keyboard and plug it into the laptop to make it fully functional.

On-Off light on my HP J4680 Officejet All-In-One printer will not stop blinking and says "Turn power off and then on." I do that and keeps repeating the same message.

Some suggestions from HP:

Turn off the printer, then unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall. Wait about 5 minutes and plug it back in and turn on the printer.

Reset the printer by turning it off, hold the # and 6 keys while turning back on.

If this does not work, do a hard reset - same thing except # and 9 keys.

If this does not work, the printer needs to be serviced or replaced.

Hope this helps.

The computer compaq 615 has no screen display when started . the fans works and after some seconds the caplock begins to blink.

Laptops generally have a blue "VGA" connector on the back. Try plugging in an external monitor if you can find one.

If you see nothing on the external screen at first there is likely a FN key and a Toggle key to swap the video inputs.

To identify you will see the FN key has a color (typically blue or yellow) , and there will be colored icons on some keys the same color as the FN key. Hold down the FN key and press the key that looks like it has a "monitor" icon in the FN key color. (blue or yellow) This should attempt to swap the input to the VGA input. If the external monitor.

If you see the display on the external monitor, you may have a problem with the laptop screen, or the connector may need to be re-seated. Generally if you remove some screws and lift up the keyboard, and remove the bezel from around the screen, you can typically see where the laptop screen plugs into the motherboard. Do not attempt this if you are not comfortable taking the laptop apart and putting it back the way you found it.

If reseating the laptop screen does not work, and you get no display on an external monitor, you likely have a problem with the video card in the laptop. Since the video card is built into the motherboard usually, this is a problem that will probably cost more to fix than the laptop is worth.

But, if you have a hardware issue with the laptop always check if there has been a recall or if it was under warranty, because if so they may fix for free.

Periodically my enter key stops working and I have to restart to get it working again.

There could be several reasons for this issue.

Reason : 1 Could be a spyware messing up with the keyboard. Use an anti-spyware to detect and cleanup.

Reason : 2 This could also happen due to X-Win 32 7.1 Version.

Upgrade following the below steps.

Upgrade to X-Win32 V8

Modify your keyboard map in X-Win32 7.1 or earlier:

Open X-Config’s Input tab

Click Edit… to edit the keyboard layout

Click on the Enter key (which may be labeled as Ent)

Click in the box labeled Unshifted which should have a value of KP_Enter

Select Keyboard -> Keyboard 8 -> Return from the popup menu

Save the keyboard map and restart X-Win32

Pressed hibernation key and now the computer won't work

Unplug the computer for a minute and plug it back in. It should restart normally.

Usually you restart just by tapping a key in sleep or hitting the power in hibernate.

The HP monitor stop working with systemax windows xp

no vga input message means that the monitor is working fine, and the problem is probably your pc. check the cable connecting the monitor to the pc. if that is ok, you ma have to open up the pc and check some components, most likely the RAM
