What caused this to happen?when it's in the spin cycle is it very loud?if so you have a broken part on the tub and it's very expensive to fix almost as much as a new machine.or check the boot seal it could be ripped.

Why has the seal on my washing machine look deformed

Some seals are not designed to last indefinitely. It may have to be replaced eventually.

My LG top load direct drive had a coin inserted in its spinner. How do i remove it? Please help.

From what I can see, I would start by placing a piece of tape on the coin and on the drum (on the left side of the coin in your photo). You do not need to really press / seal the tape against the drum. I'd fold the very end of the tape over so it can be grabbed easily. This should keep the coin from falling behind the spinner.

Next, insert a straight blade screwdriver just above or below the coin (the wider the blade the better) and use it like a wedge. You can push the screwdriver tip in the gap to open up the space or gently twist the ***** driver just enough to pry the spinner away from the drum - slightly.

While maintaining pressure or the twist on the ***** driver - use you free hand the grab the folded end of the tape to ease it off the drum and pull the coin out of the seam. If you did this right, the coin should be on the end of the tape and you can pull out or release the twist of the screwdriver - and neither the spinner or drum will be deformed. Good luck!

Sock stuck under agitator

Good Afternoon Haley - Based on the model number posted above, it shows that you are speaking about a front load washer. Is that correct? If so, then generally speaking front load washers do not have an agitator. If a sock is caught underneath it is typically because it got caught in between the door and drum because the seal is either damaged or off the track. If you have a top load washer, you may try to twist the agitator and then pull it out to remove it, as you would for maintenance cleaning.

We have a Frigidaire "Affinity" front loader it is leaving a puddle on the floor when we use it. I assume the rubber ring is bad has anyone changed it themselves? Is it a hard fix?

Are you sure it's the door seal? If it is they are normally just held in place with 2 metal rings, 1 at the edge of the seal at the door opening and one at the outer drum. Once you remove the front ring from the door opening you can gain access to the one at the drum. Removing the lid of the machine will also help and give you a bit more light.
Anyone with a bit of DIY know how should be able to replace it, an hour tops for a beginner.

Leaking door seal

The door seal on a front loader is usually part of the boot that seals the drum from the front panel of the machine. It is held on over lips on the door and outer drum. Pull the seal away from the front panel and it should reveal the lip, now pull the seal off the lip working around the whole area. Push the seal into the drum and work it off that lip too. Replacement is the opposite of the removal and just requires a little patience. (Take you old seal with when purchasing a new one to make sure you get the right part).

Door does not seal properly which causes inside to ice up. Can this be fixed. Can you purchase a new door?

Check the door seal for splits or is it deforming. A door seal can be uasually obtained and easilly fitted. I would also check the door for alignment problems if so it could be the hinges,

Electrolux ewf1481 door seal twisted

Hello,
This sounds as if one of the top spring hangers has come out of its location point. If you turn off the power and remove the top lid, then look into the machine you may still see one spring connected and the other one may have fallen into the base of the machine which you will have to retrieve and refix,by lifting up the drum and resitting it in the hole at the top.Check also that the rear counterbalance block if fitted and the front one have not come loose and the bottom struts are ok.This fault can occur after an uneven load has been in the machine. Some of the Models have a keep plate fitted to stop the springs from un - seating.
You can then inspect the door seal for any damage.

Hope this helps.

Rubber door seal problem

In my 13.5 years experience I have never experienced a door seal coming away from the drum!!!
If this was the case then you would have a major water leak!!!

Does the door seal look twisted at all?
Have a good look at the seal. Is there any black mold on the seal?

If the seal has come off then I would need to guide you through the refit process.

Please email me on: aardvark.repairs@btinternet.com and I will email you back my phone number

KENMORE H3T WASHER GREY TWISTED FRONT SEAL

I am currently replacing this bellow because of holes and five years of wear and tear. The bellow is attached to the front door assembly via a spring loaded clamp. This clamp is a solid large wire ring with loops on each end where the spring attaches. You do not have to remove the spring, just place a screwdriver between the bellow and the ring or spring to remove. This will allow you to take off the bellow from the lip of the front door assembly to reposition. The spring clamp goes on starting first from opposite of the spring and working in both directions a little at a time. ALL DONE.
