It might not be the control!!!!if there's a damper in your machine the damper door might not be closing and cold air is blowing into the fridge all the time.next time send the brand name and model number,if the control goes up to 9 set it on 4

Calibrate temp

You need to balance the temp settings. The freezer controls everything and it you have the refrigerator set wrong then the freezer tries to compensate. This means that things get too cold

Fridge freezing up

Check the fridge sensor. On my Hoover HNMF2805AL80 f/f, first I replaced control module - still freezing.
Have just replaced cheap fridge temperature sensor. Part No. 97061619. Trouble is you have to cut into insulation at back of fridge to replace. I just plugged in sensor & placed inside fridge at back at the bottom - so far so good, only lettuce freezing now, everything else v. cold but not frozen. :)

Our crosley refrigerator freezes our food, and if you turn it down food get's to warm the refrigerator is 2 yrs. old

Assuming your food gets warm when both control settings are at normal positions, or for that matter, freezes, in the refrigerated section, at normal positions, your problem will most likely be caused by a faulty cold temperature control not sensing temperature correctly, and needs to be replaced.

Fridge side began freezing everything then the fan

Generally speaking, sounds like you may have the frozen condensor problem that is so common
because of the design flaw in the Samsung products.

Turn it off, empty the freezer.
Study the back and look for formed ice around the seams.

So it got too cold, and now it is still too cold, or not cold enough ?

Ice maker not working

Hello.

First of all you need make sure that your freezer is freezing enough. Sometimes everything will seem to be freezing ok, but it won’t be cold enough to make the icemaker work. The best way is to squeeze your ice cream, if you have any that is.

Then you need to make sure that the ice level sensing arm is in the down/on position.
Also make sure that the ice bucket is positioned properly so as to trigger the ice bucket sensing switch.

If all of this checks out ok, let me know and I can guide you through an icemaker diagnosis by forcing it into a harvest mode.

If all of this checks out ok, then you need to make sure that nobody turned off the water supply that is sometimes located under the kitchen sink. Also make sure that the ice bucket is positioned properly so as to trigger the ice bucket sensing switch.

Everything freezes

Sounds like it has a damper problem. If the damper is stuck in the open position cold air will continually flow into the fridge. Have to be careful diagnosing on these because most are controlled by a board and that could be the real problem. Need to check the damper motor for resistance with an ohm meter first.
