Question about Jenn-Air JSD2695KES Side by Side Refrigerator

1 Answer

I just replaced the circuit board from my refrigerator after a sears technician said that it was not working well, but when I plug it in the temperature control shows the word PEO in the freezer side and 00 in the fridge side. Do you know how to reset it.

Usually after replacing the circuit board the unit should not require a reset if the board has been properly fitted. Simply try unplugging the unit for about 15 minutes and replugging it this should automatically reset the unit for you. If after unplugging the problem persists then call the sears technician to come and re diagnose it as there might be a problem with the replacement board.
Let me know how this turns out.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Model number 106.51139210 Refrigerator temp not cold. Freezer is working fine.

Hello James Grande,

There are a COUPLE of reasons... your FREEZER
may seem to be working... while leaving the refrigerator
section behind...

By far the MOST common cause (I think) is a DEFROST
system FAILURE... (not terribly expensive or difficult
(good trouble to have... if you must have trouble)).

Look through the air slots in the rear of the FREEZER
section... you should be able to see into the evaporator
fins... more importantly... AIR should be able to pass
through (on its way) to cool the REFRIGERATOR
section.

A large mass of FROST means a DEFROST Failure.

I have pulled the SEARS section on YOUR MODEL to
assist (includes helpful VIDEO hints).

I love refrigeration...
Comment me back if there are other things going on...
I stop by daily (if you wish).

Sears USA is not giving ME
a good readout on your control board...
(I am confident you have a PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD
(rather than a defrost timer)).

Hope this helps...

Is there a reset button or internal circuit breaker on sears refridgerator model # 795,7830

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

There is not internal circuit breaker or fuse in a refrigerator.
Component failure acts as the fuse.

There is a reset button on the control panel of your refrigerator.
It is a small black button. Located near where the part number is shown on the board. This is rarely the solution to a problem.

You may try to unplug your refrigerator for 30 minutes and reboot your refrigerator.

In your owners manual, it is recommended to install a surge protector. They are a good investment for $20-25.00. Static electricity, the slightest change in voltage and a magnetic field will knock out a electrical control board.

If you elect to press the control board reset button make sure you ground yourself by rubbing your hands on something that is steel.

Refrigerater stopped working just a clicking noise from the circut board is there a rset button anywhere

unfortunately there is no reset button. you can try disconnecting power for a few minutes and plugging it back in to reset the circuit board. most likely you have a bad relay on the control board. you didnt list a model number for your refrig so i could get you a part number for you. I use sears.com in their parts section to look up part numbers then google the part number to find the best price.
the control board is plug and play and any one that can use a screw driver should be able to replace the part with no problems. thx peyton

Have the GE GSH25JFT side by side fridge. It's

We had the same problem with our 2 year old GE GSH25JFT. Had a Sears technician come out and said it was the main circuit board. He also stated this would be $400 by the time the repair is completed. I just ordered the part myself from a Sears Service Center for $146 plus shipping. I believe the install is as simple as: unplug refrigerator, disconnect water supply, removing six screws, pull out the old circuit board and install the new one.

GE side by side refrigerator. Fridge side not cooling - help!

Hi, they have changed lots of parts, were they defected, did they tested parts for faults or they just change parts, because it's available, there's always a reason why a certain part, go bad. so far you change most of parts in ref. check refrigerant (gas, freon) pressure, check compressor, for faulty suction and high side valve, it's possible your compressor loosing efficiency. or say if compressor normally pump 50 psi. now it's pumping 40 psi. is the refrigeration cycle balance ? is there restriction in your ref. system? is compressor running long enough? plug on ref. let it run for 1hr, listen to compressor for any clicking sound, fans and everything else could be working, be compressor not, compressor could be short cycling (not working long enough) also check voltage in receptacle(outlet) with digital multi-tester, get accurate voltage reading, let me know, could also be a faulty circuit breaker in house (building) not your ref. let me know, system could have very slow refrigerant leak, you could have a very small (slow) gas leak, that's why your refrigerator get hot first, then your freezer, there's a condensate line (loop) that passes through, ref body, close to doors to prevent door gasket from freezing, after few years sometimes develope leaks, cause by rusting. it's very possible there could be small leak in your system. let me know what happened.good luck.

Installed new EOC for Sears Kenmore Elite 790 46609500 oven.

The F30 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board detects an "open" oven temperature sensor probe circuit.
This is usually caused by a failed oven temperature sensor probe.

Replacing this component will likely fix your problem.

You can order this part from www.searspartsdirect.com website.

If you replace this part yourself, be sure that you unplug the range to disconnect electrical power before accessing this component.

On some models, you can replace the probe by removing the screws that mount this component to the inside back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the probe inside the oven cavity until you encounter the wire harness disconnect plug.
Unplug the sensor and replace it with the new one. Mount the new probe on the back wall of the oven.

On some models, you have to remove the lower back oven panel to access the sensor probe.

If you replace the probe and still have this problem, you will need to unplug the range and measure the resistance through the violet wires that plug into the control board (this is where the sensor probe circuit is connected to the control board).
If the resistance through the oven temperature sensor probe circuit is normal (about 1100 ohms at room temperature) then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.

Temperature set to 33 but only gets to 40

You have a Sears ref. You didn't state that the service you used was Sears. Why I ask is because if you have a problem with the electronics -- the cost of guessing with these parts is expensive and there is generally no return on those parts. My suggestion is to call Sears and ask for the "Service smart agreemment" it is a pre-pay costing in the in the 200+ dollar area but will give you a repair value of 500 per call for a year. Plus you know it will be fixed and working. startingwith the second trip, if needed, there is a food loss payment with the policy.
