Question about GE Profile DPSB620GCWW Gas Dryer

1 Answer

I have a GE profile gas dryer model DPSB620GC4ww that stopped working. I put in a load of clothes, pressed the permanent press setting and then start and nothing happened. All the lights on the panel come on and there is a click when I hit start but the dryer does not start. I also tried using different settings but again the dryer won't start. Can you tell me what the problem could be. Thanks. -S

I need to replace the door switch on my GE Profile Gas Dryer DPSB620GC4ww and don't know how to get behind the panel on the front of the dryer. Can you give me detailed instructions on how to do this?

unplug it,open the door and look up,you'll see two phillips screws, take them out and remove the top panel,if you want to remove the front panel just remove the two phillips screws one on each side of the panel around 4 inches down from the top.

It is your motor. Here is a trick to try to see if that is the case. Get some tape and put it over the door safety latch. Spin the drum as you press the start button, if the dryer takes off then it motor.

you need to inspect the ignitor/glow coil that ignites the gas in the burner tube as they are very fragile, then on the burner tube body check the radint sensor eye it can be dirty, clean it first or then replace it,the gas valve boost and secondary coils on the gas valve could have been damaged and they keep the gas valve open to supply gas to the burner, then also check the thermal fuse on the vent blower housing as water could have ruined this component, also check all wire connections for water corrosion too

GE profile harmony gas dryer heats up but blower work 2 min. then stops

Have you access the dryers service mode? If not, access it and see what error code you get. Follow this:

1. Press the POWER key to turn the dryer on.
2. Press HELP. The main help screen is displayed.
3. Press and hold MY CYCLES and BACK simultaneously for 3 seconds. Press EXIT to return to the HOME screen.

Once you know the error code, post it or email me and I can help you from there. jeryflores@hotmail.com

GE Profile Harmony Electric Dryer - Starts out heating but then screen says SENSING

nicknames, usually with long dry times I suspect a pinched or clogged vent. Make sure you check that first. You can do a test to check the moisture sensor. The 2 sensor bars will be on the inside of the drum just below the vent cage. Press the home and then help button. Next press and hold the help and start/stop button for 3 seconds. On a dry sensor, you should see a voltage of approx 4.75 displaying. Now get a wet rag and hold them across the 2 sensor bars. You should see the voltage drop to about 1.0 volts. If it does this your sensor is ok. Check the vent and this out first and we will take it from there. Catriver.
