Jacuzzi toilets installed one year ago - for the first year toilets filled up in a matter of seconds - now both toilets are taking up to 4-5 minutes to fill up the back tank. nothing has changed - why would all of a sudden the fill up would change from a matter a seconds to more than 4 minutes? this is for both toilets put in at same time.

If you remove the fill valve assembly by undoing the plastic nut on the bottom, there is a filter screen inside there (it doesn't really look like a filter from the bottom but it is). To remove the filter, gently blow into the top line where the hose connects and the filter will pop out (quickly, so keep an eye on it). It has a very small mesh and you can scrub it clean with an old tooth brush or air wand. Reinstall and A-OK. During installation, debris may have plugged this filter screen.

Sounds like you may have debris in your lines. I was not aware of this until recently but, you should drain your water heater once a year to get rid of sediments that linger and travel through your lines causing possible blockage problems. Try turning your water valve off. Flush toilet so there is no water in the toilet or tank. Unscrew your line to shut off valve to make sure there's no debris. Good Luck!

Why is it taking so much long to tank to fill?

Disassemble the valve assembly. It probably has mineral deposits in it. If this doesn't do it, replace the whole assembly. Costs 8-10 dollars

Toilet tank fills slowly

My sister has a two year old Jacuzzi toilet that worked fine until a few months ago. Then it started to take 10 minutes to shut off after each flush. I lifted the tank cover and immediately saw the problem; at least 90% of the refill water was going into the refill pipe instead of the tank. Upon examination I discovered that the plastic part that holds the flexible refill tube to the vertical refill pipe was broken. This part not only holds the refill tube in place, it also has a small orifice at the end to restrict the flow into the pipe. The part was broken in such a way as to let nearly all the water go into the refill pipe instead of the tank, hence it would run for 10 minutes after the toilet bowl was full and waste all that water. I found a small coarse thread stainless steel screw that fit into the plastic attachment piece to help plug the orifice and cut down the amount of water going to the refill pipe. Now the toilet flushes and refills in less than 2 minutes. I'm in the process of trying to find a replacement for that part but so far no luck.

The toilet bowl never stays full of water? It empty's out and if you need to use it for a BM you need to flush it first to get water in the bowl. How do I fix this?

I have the same problem with my Toto TS703. When you flush it, it fills the bowl with water to the rim and stops. Within an hour, the water in the bowl is totally empty except for a small puddle. This has been going on for a few days. It was installed 3 years ago and never had a problem with it until now.

Jacuzzi espirit less than 1 year old, toilet runs and occassionally makes whisting noise. Sometimes it does not run - there is no pattern to what causes it to run or not run. This started suddently,...

Your symptoms point to a faulty "fill valve" (the piece with the float adjustment), and is most commonly caused by small particles caught inside from normal use or a mineral build up. To save time and energy i recommend you replace it with a Lavelle "Quiet Fill" fill valve available at most hardware or plumbing stores or online. They come with very easy to follow install instructions.

Need parts for a 30 year old jacuzzi toilet

Depending on what the innards look like, you can spend $15 at a home center like Home Depot for a toilet replacement parts kit. They're easy to install (about 30 minutes) and fix most common toilet issues.

If this won't work you might need to contact a plumbing supply company in your area. You'd be surprised what they have in inventory....

Running toilet

At the top of the float there is a screw head, you need to adjust that until the water stops at the proper level. If this does not stop it from running then you will have to replace the float and I also recommend that you replace the flapper as well. This is not an expensive fix and the instructions are very easy to follow.

We bought the Jacuzzi Perfecta toilet 1 year ago

The complication here is that Jacuzzi does not make toilets anymore than Sears makes refrigerators. In Sear's case their Kenmore refrigerators are from Whirlpool with the Kenmore name.

It is my understanding that Eljer was the manufacturer of the toilets with the Jacuzzi name typically sold at box stores. With that as a starting point, surf the web for any Eljer toilet tank replacement parts and see if you can find a similiar flusher
