When the input button on your remote is not working try using the AV button which can be found on your TV itself. The problem you are having is usualy as a result of the remote controller not being properly programmed if all other buttons are functioning.

DVD works fine but. Tv say no signal

Troubleshooting Tips 1. If your HDTV or TV has multiple inputs, make sure you choose the right input your DVD player is connected to, such as Video, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, Component, etc. Change the INPUT or source the HDTV is set to by pressing the INPUT button on the TV or its original remote. When you try different inputs, let the DVD player play a disc and output a constant signal.
2. If your TV has the correct INPUT or Source, unplug the cable and plug it back, or try another cable or port. Sometimes cable can short-out. Be sure they are connected securely.
3. Test if your DVD player works on other TVs. It could be your DVD player breakdown that leads to No Signal on your HDTV.
4. Try connecting your DVD player to another HDTV if your DVD player works correctly.
5. Check if your DVD player is compatible with your HDTV.
6. If the TV does nt work try to upgrade your DVD.

Isn't this just a simple hookup? What am I not doing?

You either need to change the input source. Currently the source is TV, depending on how you connected the DVD player to the TV, it should be composite (A/V), component video or HDMI. (S-video is also a possibility. Very few DVD players are connected on the RF (coax) input which might be channel 3 or 4 without having a converter between the DVD player and the TV.)

Look on your TV remote for a button marked Source or Input. You may also find this button on the TV. (On some TVs, this may also be accessed through the menus.)

How did you connect the TV and the DVD player? If your audio and video were connected via three RCA plugs (yellow, red, white) on each end, then use the composite video input. If you used cables with 3 RCA plugs for video (yellow, green, blue) and 2 for audio (red/white), then switch to the component input. If you used HDMI which carries audio and video in one cable (with rectangular ends), then use the HDMI input.

Some older TVs only have the Source/Input button on their original remote. Not all universal replacement remotes have this button, you may need a different remote. Those that do may require you to try additional codes for your TV manufacturer to enable the button. (The on./off buttons often will work with more of the codes for a brand.) The ones that can be programmed via a USB connection to a computer are most likely to support the function. Please add a comment with the type of TV for additional help with this.

I hope this helps.

How do I change my remote for TV to Input Video 1?

There should be a button on your remote denoting "Input." If you connect the DVD player to the TV on "video input 1" then push the input button on the remote or TV itself until the DVD appears on your TV (which will be Video 1). Some TVs must have the component (in your case) the "DVD" player connected to the TV before the TV will recognize it. Make sure the DVD is powered up and then push the input button until the DVD player appears on the TV. Depending on your TV inputs, there may be multiple inputs like, Video, Component, DVI, or HDMI. The above are listed in the respective order of "quality." HDMI being the best. Whatever input you hook the DVD player up to on the TV will be the "input" you will look for when pressing the input button. Hope this helps.

Now have verizon Fios and cannot get DVD player to play

Check the connection cable. If the Verizon box and the DVD player are connecting to the same TV input, ensure that the Verizon fios box is connecting to DVD input, and DVD output is connecting to TV.

If you connect DVD out to Verizon box input, and then TV , you will have to turn off the receiver box to see DVD.

If you use only one TV Input connect Verizon output to DVD input and DVD out to TV.

If instead you use separate inputs on TV, then try using the source/select input button on TV remote, and try different cables.

Regards.

I have a 32" LCD TV that I can't seem to get any of my DVD players to work on. Keep getting error message "no video signal" but They use to work. help

How do you have your DVD player hooked up to your TV(i.e. composite, s-video, component)? Some DVD payers and TVs have menus to switch inputs and if you somehow switched off the input your players are connected to, you'll get a "no signal" message.  First try hitting the input button on your TV or the Input/connection option in your TV's menu.  If that doesn't work try hooking up the DVD player(s) with the composite Cable(yellow), the component(red, green, blue) and S-Video(black/round) at the same time. If you scroll through your TV's inputs you should get a picture on one of these connections and the TV should display which one. The display will usually be in the corner of the screen.

DVD player won't work on my 27gt615

alexa,

good day, if youre saying that you program the DVD to work on channel 2 or 4 does it mean you convert the signal of your dvd player from A/V output to RF out?

because the simpliest way to connect your DVD player to TV screen is by using RCA cable ( 3 wired cable being color marked as yellow/red/white) yellow = video red and white = audio

the connection would be: from dvd back part you'll see colored socket yello/red and white. connect the RCA to those socket following the same color .

and from the TV screen there should be A/V input socket. can be locate at the BACK/Side or FRONT of the screen marked as
"INPUT" ( AV1, AV2,AV3 if multiple inputs). Then select which input you want to place your DVD player ex.AV1 (from AV1 there will be 3 scoket in a row, yellow/red/white)

Connect the other end of your RCA cable following the same color code to TV "AV1 INPUT" yellow = yello/red =red/white=white. then from the remote commander of your TV screen locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "A/V" press this button until the screen display switch to AV1.

cheers,
mark

DVP-NS77H will not work

You need to make sure that you change the input on the TV. It is most likely AUX1 or video input 1. Look on you TV remote for a button that says "input" or "source". Make sure your DVD player is on, press press play, then hit the input or souce button on the remote.

Some dvd players do not have the switching line fro your tv to automatically select scart input but you will be able to select via the tv remote if there are no buttons marked av it can be an oblong with an arrow pointing inwards or you may have to select via the source menu on the tv if you have your original handbook it will give a helpline number for Asda.SUPER8.
