Make sure there is not a screensaver at work here. If this continues, restart the computer in safe mode and go through your start up programs to see if one is interfering with system operation. If you can not get to safe mode you may need to get to the HP restore process to repair the system. Look for the option during initial start up, then follow on screen prompts.
