Question about Kofax Adrenaline 1700s (EH-1700-1000) Still-Image Capture

Card does not appear to be communicating with a KodaK i840 scanner. How do I trouble shoot this?

the drivers for the?scanner might have been corrupted

you might have to uninstall the scanner restart your computer then reinstall your scanner

if your printer/scanner came with an installation disc the drivers could be on it

you might have to uninstall the printer/scanner restart your computer then reinstall the printer/scanner and its drivers
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port?and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow?question mark this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options also have option to troubleshoot hope this helps

If still the same issue, call Kodak tech support......for some advance trouble shooting or may be printer will be replaced

Media is damaged or incompatible


Try on other PC to trouble shoot.
USB cable or USB card reader can have trouble
Or your memory card needs reformating (loosing pics!!!)

Scaning problem not communicate to pc xp-2 how to fix .


Hi follow this trouble shooting steps.


1.Are you able to copy a document in stand alone with out connecting to computer If yes scanner is working fine.

then perform next step

2.Place a document on Scanner bed then Open MS paint on computer Then click on File

Click on From Camera or Scanner with this option you can scan.

Kodak i250 can't communicate with the scanner


I found it was a Microsoft update. Re-built the PC with XP sp2 no updates or patches all working again

Having trouble with my camer shooting slow between pictures


You might have a USB virus or spyware infection in the memory card. I suggest you have Kodak develop the pictures then wipe the memory card clean. And the pictures might be dark because of the camera settings and or the development quality. Try resetting the camera. Hope this works.

Are you using a Kofax SCSI card or an normal SCSI controller like Adaptec?
By using a normal SCSI controller, is there an ASPI driver problem after a WIN XP update? After an update check the ASPI dlls in \sytem32. They should be version 4.71 or higher.

Check the SCSI connector pins and the terminator.
If available change the cable.

Scanner check:
Is the green lamp (Ready) on or is the red lamp (Error) on?

- green lamp on:
the internal self test is ok, but the internal SCSI interface may possibly faulty.

- red lamp on:
the internal selftest detect an error.
It's possible that the DC/DC power board, the CPU board or the power supply inside the scanner is defective.
After reassembling the front side camera you will see at the bottom a PCA board with some LEDs whitch indicate by red light the different voltages when power is on. You find the different voltages printed at the PCA close to the LEDs.
In case on or more LEDs don't shine the according DC/DC transformer on the PCA is defective.
Futher you see LEDs at the camera PCAs. They should be on too.

In case the CPU board has an defect you must have an special Kodak activation tool to unlock an new or used CPU board after exchange.

error code communication error the scanner is not communicating with the cradle. It is important that the synapse cable is plugged into the cradle before the cradle power suply is pluged into a outlet. also could be the scanner did not pair up with the cradle correctly try rescanning the barcode on the cradle.
