It sounds as if the toner has leaked, maybe it was cracked or seated incorrectly. Toner is so fine that if you use a standard vacuum cleaner the toner may just fly out of the back.
It's still worth trying to vacuum out the spilt toner. Remove all other cartridges first
Inspect the Yellow cartridge for damage to determine if it was that or the printer at fault.
