Well..i jus got a new memory card for my motorola rokr and i have been trying to format it and after i press format, it says format but when i plug it back into my phone after putting music in it, it say...

what type of memory card are you using?

on page 24 of the manual it states the following:-

phone can use a memory card with a capacity of up to 2 GB (greater than 1 GB storage guaranteed only for SanDisk
microSD cards)

If you are not using a SanDisk card and it is greater than 1G this may be the problem.

have you tried to format the card frm your PC and then add the files?

V3i mem card problems

you can always put the card into a slot on the computer and format it on there. just right click when it appears in 'my computer' and select 'format'. you may need an adapter if the card is too small for the computer slots. hope this helps :)
