SOURCE: Digital tuning

You'll need to go into service mode and do a factory reset.
To enter service mode you'll need to press these buttons on your remote in the following order:-
Standby-info-menu-mute-standby.You'll need to do it fairly quickly and be patient it doesn't always go into it first time, don't press and hold the buttons.
The service menu should appear on the screen.Use the up /down cursor to scan down to option number 12 (factory reset)and then press the right cursor wait will appear on the screen and the set will go to standby(don't worry this is normal)
Reboot the set and retune and all should be well

SOURCE: problem with tuning digital channel

I would believe from what you said, you have solved your problem. You will need a UHF antenna to receive the signal. Walmart or Radio Shack has a great amplified antenna that will work for you.

We have a hitachi 32LD30U A tv. Can't tune it in? Bought a new aerial today but still no joy. Tried time after time to set up through auto installation but no good. Any ideas? Thank you

You didn't say whether you have had the tv a while or whether it is new to you.

If you have had it for a while functioning well and you was just trying to retune, then it is likely there is a fault with the tv.

If the tv is new to you then maybe even with a new aerial there isn't enough signal - or maybe there is too much signal. With digital tv one is as bad as the other.

It is very unlikely but if there are too many channels it can prevent a successful retune.

If you have another tv that works ok in the same position with the same aerial then clearly the Hitachi is suspect. If you haven't a spare tv to use then perhaps you have or can borrow a set-top digi-box to use for testing and if that works ok why not use that as a way around your problem.

I think before you take any action it would be a good idea to read the instructions for the tv again just to be certain you aren't making an elementary mistake. If yours are lost you can download a pdf version.

I had to reboot my tv because i lost the radio This time though i accidently pressed yes at the end for analogue. It has gone to 'no signal' and i cant get it off. Please advise me. Thankyou

reset tv back to manufactures settings, than setup like new setup by going to settings, go to automatic tuning so the tv can setup channels and radio if you have a smart tv type, when you go to settings you setup channels and save than go to find radio signals for tv. automatic scan., save, you should be able do everything through the remote. take your time, do not rush or you may start a few times. here is some place to get more help.

Tv keeps asking for installation when switching on hitachi L19DG07UJ

Tune the TV in properly. Do a Full Factory Reset tuning rather than just a rescan.

Rescan simply looks at the place holders where the old channels were stored and refreshes them. A Factory Reset (A.K.A. Shipping Condition) wipes the channel memories and starts again fresh.

Need to know how to go cable free. Have TERK digital antenna

Shouldn't do, just connect the antennas into the Belling-Lee TV antenna socket at rear of set, tune channels. If you antenna won't fit, you may need an "F" connector to "Belling-Lee" converter plug. You will need an "Ordinary" Yagi VHF/UHF antenna installed though. Is that what that digital one is?

Trying to re-set the digital channels. Using

Hi Barry Like mine, it could be that since the channel 5 fiasco, your new signal may be a bit weaker, and may have only just been strong enough before. I had to dig out an old signal booster, a re-tune again, and bingo all there! Also, when you go to retune, you may want to use "first Time Install" because it completely wipes the old channel list, and starts a fresh.

Hitachi TV - no signal on DTV since switchover

Hi It sounds like you need to re-tune your DVB-Tuner on your TV, NOT the old analogue one, it'll be in settings or setup, or installation and use the "First Time Install" option, because it clears all old channels and loads all fresh new ones! hope this helps!

Hitachi T.V. remote CLU3842WL will not change channels.

There are two possibilities: either the channel memory has been lost due to the TV being unplugged for an extended period or the digital tuning system has a defective component. First thing to do is go into the TVs menu system and try to re-scan the channels. You may find that you can change channels after doing this. If its still not changing channel, the digital tuning board will have to replaced.
